【摘要】：存現(xiàn)動詞是表示人或物存在、出現(xiàn)或消失的動詞,在英漢語中都廣泛存在。由于其屬性的特殊性和所處句子結構的特殊性,存現(xiàn)動詞受到了國內(nèi)外學者的廣泛關注,研究焦點不同,爭議眾多。本文試圖從體特征的角度對英漢存現(xiàn)動詞進行比較研究。Vendler (1957)按照“靜態(tài)和動態(tài)”、“持續(xù)性和瞬時性”,“終結性和非終結性”三個兩分體特征對動詞進行了分類,將動詞分為狀態(tài)、活動、完成和達成四類動詞。但有研究發(fā)現(xiàn),同一個動詞在不同的句子或者語境中所表現(xiàn)的體特征可能會有一定的差異,這種現(xiàn)象是否出現(xiàn)在英漢存現(xiàn)動詞中值得深究。本文基于Vendler (1957)對動詞分類所采用的三個兩分的體特征分析法,按照存現(xiàn)動詞的分類,從英語和漢語中分別選取六個存現(xiàn)動詞,對它們在不同句子或語境中所體現(xiàn)的體特征進行比較研究。其中英語存現(xiàn)動詞選取存在類動詞exist和live、出現(xiàn)類動詞occur和come、消失類動詞die和disappear,漢語存現(xiàn)動詞選取存在類動詞“存在”和“住”、出現(xiàn)類動詞“發(fā)生”和“來”、消失類動詞“死”和“消失”。本文采取基于語料庫的方法,以所選取的英漢存現(xiàn)動詞為主索引,從“美國現(xiàn)代英語語料庫”(COCA)和“現(xiàn)代漢語語料庫語料庫”(CCL)中分別檢索真實語料,并篩選出具有代表性的相關實例。通過橫向對比和縱向對比,本文主要探討以下三個問題：(1)英漢存現(xiàn)動詞體特征與句子時體結構的互動關系以及二者的異同；(2)英漢存現(xiàn)動詞體特征與存現(xiàn)結構的互動關系以及二者的異同；(3)英漢存現(xiàn)動詞體特征與狀語成分的互動關系以及二者的異同。語料庫實例分析結果顯示：句子的時體結構一定程度上會影響存現(xiàn)動詞在句中所表現(xiàn)的“持續(xù)性”和“瞬時性”以及“終結性”和“非終結性”兩對體特征；存現(xiàn)結構一定程度上會影響存現(xiàn)動詞在句中所表現(xiàn)的“靜態(tài)”和“動態(tài)”體特征；狀語成分一定程度上會影響存現(xiàn)動詞在句中所表現(xiàn)的“持續(xù)性”和“瞬時性”以及“終結性”和“非終結性”兩對體特征。從宏觀上說,本研究對英漢外語教學和英漢翻譯研究有一定的指導意義。從微觀上說,本研究有助于以漢語為母語的英語學習者學習英語存現(xiàn)動詞和存現(xiàn)句以及以英語為母語的漢語學習者學習漢語存現(xiàn)動詞和存現(xiàn)句。本文包括五個章節(jié)。第一章介紹了研究背景；第二章是國內(nèi)外學者對動詞體和存現(xiàn)動詞研究的文獻綜述；第三章描述了研究方法；第四章介紹了數(shù)據(jù)分析和討論的過程,主要從三個方面比較英漢存現(xiàn)動詞的體特征；第五章是結語部分,總結了研究的主要發(fā)現(xiàn),指出了研究的意義和不足。
