【摘要】：隨著我國高等教育日益國際化、網(wǎng)絡化、信息化,各大高校的網(wǎng)頁也開始成為對外宣傳的重要窗口。高校網(wǎng)頁上的英文簡介作為一種有效的宣傳方式,其重要性在高校國際化進程中也日益凸顯。因此,對中美大學簡介進行對比研究能夠幫助人們更好的理解它們的特點和差異,進一步促進國際交流。高校網(wǎng)頁簡介的表達與設計可以被看作是一個動態(tài)的語境構建過程,因而研究這類語篇不僅對大學網(wǎng)頁簡介的理解發(fā)揮著重要影響,而且在文化的交流和溝通中扮演著重要角色。為了在跨文化背景下更好的理解和組織大學網(wǎng)頁簡介這種文本,本文基于哈蒂姆和梅森的三維語境理論,著重研究30所中美高校簡介在語境的交際層面、語用層面以及符號層面體現(xiàn)的差異以及造成差異的成因。在語境的交際層面上,本文發(fā)現(xiàn)中美兩國大學在語域和語旨上存在差別。中國大學側重于介紹學校的歷史,成就以及榮譽。美國傾向于展示他們強大的學科和設施,以及其他如學費和獎學金等等詳細的具體事宜。此外,在布局上,美國大學簡介正式程度比中國大學稍低。在話語表達上,美國大學簡介更遵從于數(shù)量準則和方式準則,采用更簡潔和直接的表達方式,而中國大學簡介習慣采用詳盡的闡述方式。在符號層面上,中美高校在體裁,話語和語篇方面存在著差異,主要表現(xiàn)在語言表達方式,以及話題轉換和語篇結構形式上。最后,從文化角度對這些差異進行了對比分析,不同的內(nèi)容和具體表現(xiàn)方式背后體現(xiàn)的是各種不同的文化因素。
