雖然已經(jīng)有一部分人對翻譯質(zhì)量評價進(jìn)行過探索性的研究,但就目前而言,翻譯質(zhì)量評價仍然是翻譯學(xué)研究中最困難的領(lǐng)域之一。 很多翻譯理論家試圖通過提出一定的評價模型或標(biāo)準(zhǔn)來解決這一問題,但大多數(shù)并不成功,要么是因為所提出的模型不能應(yīng)用于實際的翻譯評價,要么是因為通過這些標(biāo)準(zhǔn)得出來的評估結(jié)果不可靠。到目前為止,幾乎沒有人提出能夠為大多數(shù)人所接受的、既明確又能運用于實踐的翻譯質(zhì)量評價體系。 為此,本研究的主要目的是介紹一種實用、可靠的評估準(zhǔn)則。本文作者希望通過對翻譯過程的深層次探究,幫助評論家對譯文做出更公正、合理的判斷。 依據(jù)功能翻譯理論,任何一個翻譯活動都有其特殊的目的,而這個目的就是判斷譯文質(zhì)量及譯者水平的決定性因素。這種以目的為導(dǎo)向的方法在很大程度上能為幾乎所有的翻譯評價提供合理依據(jù)。遺憾的是,功能翻譯理論家們沒有對“目的”一詞進(jìn)行清晰的界定。在功能翻譯理論里,“目的”一詞存在三種可能的解讀,一是指翻譯過程的目標(biāo),二是指譯文的功能,三是指譯者所采用的翻譯模式的意圖,這也正是功能翻譯理論招致詬病的最主要原因。本文作者認(rèn)同功能翻譯理論,尤其是目的論可以作為翻譯理論活動的指導(dǎo)方針,但為了避免模糊...
