隱喻不僅僅是一種語言現(xiàn)象,更是一種認(rèn)知現(xiàn)象,是新的語言意義產(chǎn)生的重要根源。借助隱喻能更好地實(shí)現(xiàn)抽象概念的表達(dá)。從認(rèn)知語言學(xué)的視角對隱喻進(jìn)行研究成為近年來西方隱喻研究的主流,西方隱喻認(rèn)知觀認(rèn)為隱喻的過程實(shí)際上就是由源域到目標(biāo)域的投射,強(qiáng)調(diào)人的認(rèn)知和人的感知在隱喻過程中發(fā)揮的作用�？傮w來說,國內(nèi)外對“左/右”的研究主要集中在對其進(jìn)行中、西文化含義對比和詞性的界定上;國內(nèi)有關(guān)left/right方位詞研究很少,大量論著集中于研究其他方位詞。少量關(guān)于left/right的研究也都集中于漢英文化對比方面。一些漢英空間方位詞對比研究多少涉及了認(rèn)知語言學(xué)相關(guān)理論,但研究也只涉及到語料的陳列,沒有解釋和認(rèn)知分析。國外認(rèn)知語言學(xué)理論比較發(fā)達(dá),但是多數(shù)學(xué)者用認(rèn)知語言學(xué)理論分析其他方位詞的用法,left/right的研究較少。因此,從詞匯隱喻和語法隱喻的角度對方位左/右和left/right進(jìn)行對比研究有很大的必要性。本文以北京大學(xué)中國語言學(xué)研究中心（CCL）現(xiàn)代漢語語料庫,美國COCA語料庫為為語料來源,以概念隱喻和語法隱喻為本研究的理論框架,例證分析100條包含漢英方位詞“左/右”和left/right...
