傳統(tǒng)的翻譯研究視翻譯為語言轉(zhuǎn)換,側(cè)重于翻譯文本和原語文本的對照比較,看其忠實與否。但翻譯畢竟不是簡單的語言之間的文字轉(zhuǎn)換,尤其是文字翻譯。于是翻譯理論家們就開始尋求其他的新的理論來支持翻譯理論的發(fā)展,而其中最具影響力的莫過于翻譯的文化視角。后殖民翻譯理論從后殖民視角考查不同歷史條件下的翻譯行為,關(guān)注隱藏在譯文背后的文化之間的權(quán)力斗爭和權(quán)力運作,認為強勢文化與弱勢文化之間存在著權(quán)力差異,這兩種文化之間從來就沒有過任何平等對話。權(quán)力差異作為后殖民翻譯研究的中心,主要表現(xiàn)為強勢文化和弱勢文化之間在翻譯活動上的不平等。作為強勢文化和其譯者,往往會漠視弱勢文化和文本,在翻譯上主要就體現(xiàn)為對文本選擇和翻譯策略等的強勢,一味地滿足本國讀者,而視原語文化予不顧。在翻譯中,異化使得源語言的異域性最大限度地得到保留,譯文讀起來必然就像譯著。歸化是一種截然相反的方法,意味著消除源文本中的一切陌生感和異域感,使譯文讀起來像原著。但歸化不利于文化的有效傳播,常常以文化流失為代價。老舍是中國現(xiàn)代文學的杰出代表。幽默、諷刺、生動的描寫和濃郁的地方色彩使其作品膾炙人口。由于老舍的特殊地位,對其人和作品的研究方興未艾。...
