諾貝爾文學(xué)獎獲獎演說的人際探討—評價分析

評價理論是以J.R. Martin為首的語言學(xué)家對韓禮德系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)中人際元功能的新發(fā)展,是人際意義的一個重要組成部分。本文以系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)為理論出發(fā)點,借助韓禮德的情景語境理論,以馬丁的評價理論為具體分析工具,由人際功能延伸到評價理論,回顧了評價理論的形成與發(fā)展,詳細(xì)介紹評價理論的三個子系統(tǒng):態(tài)度,介入和分級,并探討評價資源如何幫助語篇體現(xiàn)人際意義。本文選取了三篇著名諾貝爾文學(xué)獎獲獎演說為語篇分析素材,作者分別是威廉·?思{,海明威和約翰·斯坦貝克。諾貝爾文學(xué)獎獲獎演說是演講辭的一種,其語篇特征是由資歷深、聲望高的文學(xué)泰斗對文學(xué)創(chuàng)作發(fā)表的具有獨(dú)立見解的言論。采用定量分析法,根據(jù)評價理論的三個子系統(tǒng)分別找出語料中表示態(tài)度、介入和分級資源的詞匯和語法結(jié)構(gòu),對語料中的各種評價資源進(jìn)行統(tǒng)計,以求找出語料中表達(dá)人際意義的主要手段和特點,并且結(jié)合韓禮德的系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)對所發(fā)現(xiàn)的現(xiàn)象給予解釋。本研究的目的在于證明馬丁的評價理論對于探討語篇的人際意義具有可操作性和實用性;評價資源在諾貝爾文學(xué)獎獲獎演說中的分布規(guī)律。本文旨在解決以下三個問題:第一,在諾貝爾文學(xué)獎獲獎演說中,人際功能是怎樣通過評價來體...
