作為人類最復(fù)雜的活動之一,翻譯活動充滿著各種矛盾,而可譯性與不可譯性正是其眾多矛盾中的一組。可譯性與不可譯性是相對的,動態(tài)的,不可譯性在一定條件下可以轉(zhuǎn)化為可譯性。兩種語言之間的不可譯性,一方面來自語言本身的差異,另一方面源于孕育兩種語言的文化之間的差異。關(guān)于不可譯性的研究很多,然而卻極少涉及中醫(yī)翻譯。中醫(yī)是中國傳統(tǒng)文化中的瑰寶,有著兩千多年的歷史,為中國人民的健康和中華民族的繁衍生息作出了杰出的貢獻(xiàn)。隨著中國對外交流的不斷發(fā)展,中醫(yī)以其獨(dú)特的療效和極小的副作用,受到越來越多的國家的關(guān)注。相應(yīng)地,中醫(yī)翻譯也得到了前所未有的發(fā)展。然而,由于中醫(yī)語言玄奧難解,加之其根植于中國傳統(tǒng)文化,并在中國傳統(tǒng)哲學(xué)的深刻影響下形成了獨(dú)特的理論體系,因此,在一定程度上造成了中醫(yī)及其術(shù)語的不可譯性。本文從語言及文化兩個方面分析論述了中醫(yī)術(shù)語不可譯性的原因,以期引起譯者對中醫(yī)術(shù)語英譯復(fù)雜性和困難性的重視;在此基礎(chǔ)上,筆者提出了如何將中醫(yī)術(shù)語的不可譯性轉(zhuǎn)化為可譯性的策略,旨在拋磚引玉,引起更多學(xué)者對此問題的探討和研究。本文共分六章。第一章緒論部分,簡要介紹本文的研究背景、研究目的與研究意義,概括本文的框架結(jié)構(gòu)。...
