【摘要】：在韓禮德的學(xué)術(shù)活動(dòng)中,計(jì)算機(jī)與定量語(yǔ)言研究是其中一個(gè)重要的組成部分。從上個(gè)世紀(jì)50年代開始,他就從階與范疇語(yǔ)法的角度對(duì)機(jī)器翻譯及機(jī)器詞典進(jìn)行了研究,并發(fā)表了一系列相關(guān)的重要論文。自此,開啟并推動(dòng)了系統(tǒng)功能語(yǔ)法在自然語(yǔ)言處理中的應(yīng)用與發(fā)展。 本文采用文獻(xiàn)法,對(duì)韓禮德的機(jī)器翻譯研究成果進(jìn)行了定性研究。主要內(nèi)容包括韓禮德的機(jī)器翻譯思想和機(jī)器詞典思想兩個(gè)基本的組成部分。在第一個(gè)部分,歸納總結(jié)了韓禮德有關(guān)機(jī)器翻譯的應(yīng)用語(yǔ)言學(xué)歸屬、對(duì)機(jī)器翻譯系統(tǒng)的設(shè)計(jì)方案等重要思想,充分肯定了他在此領(lǐng)域的前瞻性。在第二個(gè)部分,主要分析了他所提出的同義詞庫(kù)法及其在機(jī)器翻譯中的重要作用。與此同時(shí),也指出了韓禮德上述研究中的一些不足之處,例如缺乏具體的數(shù)據(jù)支撐,對(duì)語(yǔ)義問(wèn)題的處理也存在欠缺。 開展這項(xiàng)研究,具有多方面的價(jià)值和意義：首先,能夠更充分地了解系統(tǒng)功能語(yǔ)言學(xué)在自然語(yǔ)言處理中的應(yīng)用深度和廣度。其次,在研究韓禮德的上述成果中,有利于從中總結(jié)一條語(yǔ)言學(xué)與數(shù)理邏輯方法和計(jì)算機(jī)技術(shù)相結(jié)合的研究路線,從而改變目前盛行的對(duì)系統(tǒng)功能語(yǔ)言學(xué)科學(xué)性方面存在的偏見(jiàn)。此外,考察階與范疇語(yǔ)法在計(jì)算語(yǔ)言學(xué)等領(lǐng)域中的應(yīng)用,能夠反過(guò)來(lái)發(fā)現(xiàn)理論本身所存在的一些問(wèn)題,從而科學(xué)地探索其向系統(tǒng)語(yǔ)法和功能語(yǔ)法發(fā)展的內(nèi)在動(dòng)因。
[Abstract]:In Halliday's academic activities, the study of computer and quantitative language is an important part. Since -50s, he has studied machine translation and machine dictionary from the perspective of order and category grammar. A series of related important papers have been published. Since then, the application and development of systemic functional grammar in natural language processing have been initiated and promoted. This paper makes a qualitative study of Halliday's achievements in machine translation by documentary method. The main contents include Halliday's machine translation thought and machine dictionary thought. In the first part, This paper summarizes Halliday's important ideas on the attribution of applied linguistics in machine translation and the design scheme of machine translation system, and fully affirms Halliday's foresight in this field. In the second part, This paper mainly analyzes his synonym library method and its important role in machine translation. At the same time, it also points out some shortcomings of Halliday's above research, such as the lack of concrete data support. There are also deficiencies in the treatment of semantic problems. This study has many values and meanings: firstly, it can fully understand the depth and breadth of the application of systemic functional linguistics in natural language processing; secondly, in the study of Halliday's above achievements, It is beneficial to sum up a research route of combining linguistics with mathematical logic and computer technology, thus changing the prevailing prejudice on the scientific aspects of systemic functional linguistics. By examining the application of order and category grammar in computational linguistics and other fields, we can find some problems in the theory itself, and then scientifically explore the internal motivation of its development towards system grammar and functional grammar.
