晚清小說翻譯是中國翻譯史上第三次大規(guī)模的翻譯活動(dòng),是中國和外國在文學(xué)和文化方面交流的象征。從傳統(tǒng)的翻譯標(biāo)準(zhǔn)來衡量,一些翻譯家的翻譯并沒有忠實(shí)于原文。但是從歷史角度看,在當(dāng)時(shí)特定的背景下,他們從事小說翻譯的意圖是喚醒民眾,拯救中國,就這點(diǎn)而言他們所使用的翻譯策略也可以說是合情合理的。晚清小說翻譯不僅提高了傳統(tǒng)小說的地位,豐富了傳統(tǒng)小說,而且還促進(jìn)了傳統(tǒng)小說的發(fā)展。此外,晚清小說翻譯在沖擊中國傳統(tǒng)觀念的同時(shí),也影響了小說家的審美趣味和文學(xué)觀念。更重要的是,它還促成了中國文化的現(xiàn)代化。 但任何事物都是有兩面性的,晚清小說翻譯也不可避免地存在消極影響。過分的強(qiáng)調(diào)了小說的政治目的;誤解和誤譯,也影響了原小說內(nèi)容和風(fēng)格的保留。 本論文將安德烈·勒菲弗爾的改寫理論應(yīng)用于晚清小說翻譯的研究中,探討了意識(shí)形態(tài)、詩學(xué)和贊助人三要素對(duì)晚清小說翻譯的影響。本論文還嘗試從歷史角度探究了晚清翻譯家所使用的獨(dú)特的翻譯策略是否合理這一問題,并對(duì)晚清小說翻譯的影響進(jìn)行了分析。 本論文包含了七章。第一章為引言,介紹了本論文的研究背景;晚清小說翻譯的概述;研究的意義;晚清小說翻譯的綜述以及本論文研究的對(duì)象、研究方法和論文結(jié)...
