【摘要】：清末民初偵探小說作為教育性讀物被大量引進中國。由于其雅俗共賞,貼近生活,翻譯偵探小說受到很多知識分子和普通民眾的歡迎。這一時期的翻譯偵探小說因大都采用意譯的策略以及其對原文的“不忠實”性而受到一些學者的批評指責。而這種結(jié)論往往是從傳統(tǒng)的語言學翻譯理論出發(fā)而得出的。如果把近代偵探小說翻譯現(xiàn)象放到闡釋學派伽達默爾的三大理論框架下:理解的歷史性,視域融合,效果歷史,我們會得到新的認識。 闡釋學作為一種關于理解與闡釋的理論,與翻譯關系密切。目前在翻譯研究中闡釋學理論的應用已經(jīng)得到了廣泛研究,然而運用到翻譯研究中的闡釋學理論通常還是伽達默爾提出的理解的歷史性,視域融合和效果歷史。 本論文以伽達默爾闡釋學為理論基礎,對清末民初的翻譯偵探小說進行研究。通過理論和譯本分析的結(jié)合,指出這一時期偵探小說的翻譯雖有其不忠實性,但也有其存在的合理性。譯本是其時代造就的偏見,譯者視界和作者視界永遠無法完全重合。 由于中國讀者對福爾摩斯偵探故事的喜愛,及中國譯者程小青在偵探小說翻譯與創(chuàng)作上的成就,作者在此選取由程小青翻譯的具有代表意義柯南道爾系列偵探小說作為研究文本。 本文由正文和結(jié)論組成。 第一章為引言部分,主要是對本文研究背景,意義,方法和論文結(jié)構(gòu)的陳述。 第二章為文獻綜述部分:概述了闡釋學在國內(nèi)外的研究現(xiàn)狀及其在翻譯和文學翻譯中的應用,同時也對翻譯偵探小說的研究現(xiàn)狀和偵探小說的特點做了簡要的論述。 第三章回顧了闡釋學發(fā)展的不同階段,主要介紹了伽達默爾闡釋學的三個主要觀點—理解的歷史性,視域融合和效果歷史。此章節(jié)為本文提供了有力的理論支持。 第四章為本論文的主體部分。通過對伽達默爾闡釋學理論和譯例研究的結(jié)合,分析了這一時期偵探小說的翻譯雖有其不忠實性,但也有其存在的合理性。在此之前作者還研究了當時翻譯偵探小說的特點和譯者在翻譯過程中所采取的策略。 最后為結(jié)論部分,通過對清末民初偵探小說的翻譯研究,得出以下結(jié)論:借助闡釋學的理解的歷史性、視域融合和效果歷史,可以發(fā)現(xiàn)翻譯從產(chǎn)生到譯語社會實現(xiàn)其相應的社會文化功能,是以適應和滿足譯語文化種種基本要求為條件的。
[Abstract]:Detective novels were introduced into China as educational books in late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. Because of its common appreciation and close to life, the translation of detective novels is welcomed by many intellectuals and ordinary people. The translation of detective novels in this period has been criticized by some scholars for their use of free translation strategies and their "unfaithfulness" to the original texts. This conclusion is often drawn from the traditional linguistic translation theory. If we put the phenomenon of modern detective fiction translation under the framework of Gadamer's three theories: the history of understanding, the fusion of vision and the history of effect, we will get a new understanding. Hermeneutics, as a theory of understanding and interpretation, is closely related to translation. At present, the application of hermeneutics theory in translation studies has been extensively studied. However, hermeneutics theory applied in translation studies is usually the historical understanding, horizon fusion and effect history proposed by Gadamer. Based on the theory of Gadamer's hermeneutics, this thesis studies the translation of detective novels in late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. Through the combination of theory and translation analysis, the author points out that although the translation of detective novels in this period has its infidelity, it also has its rationality in existence. The translation is the prejudice of his time, and the horizon of the translator and the author can never completely coincide. Due to the love of Chinese readers for Sherlock Holmes detective stories and the achievements of Chinese translator Cheng Xiaoqing in the translation and creation of detective stories, The author chooses the representative detective novels translated by Cheng Xiaoqing as the research text. This paper is composed of text and conclusion. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly describes the background, significance, method and structure of this paper. The second chapter is literature review: it summarizes the current situation of hermeneutics at home and abroad and its application in translation and literary translation. At the same time, it briefly discusses the present situation of translation detective novel and the characteristics of detective novel. The third chapter reviews the different stages of hermeneutics development, mainly introduces the three main viewpoints of Gadamer hermeneutics: the history of understanding, the fusion of vision and the history of effect. This chapter provides a strong theoretical support for this paper. The fourth chapter is the main part of this paper. By combining the hermeneutical theory of Gadamer with the case study, this paper analyzes the unfaithfulness of the translation of detective novels in this period, but also the rationality of their existence. Before that, the author also studied the characteristics of the translated detective novel and the strategies adopted by the translator in the process of translation. Finally, through the translation of detective novels in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, the following conclusions are drawn: the historical understanding of hermeneutics, the fusion of horizons and the history of effectiveness. It can be found that the social and cultural functions of translation from its emergence to the realization of its social and cultural functions are conditioned by the adaptation and satisfaction of the basic requirements of the target language culture.
