概念整合理論視角下李白政治諷喻詩英譯九空間研究

【摘要】:本文擬從認(rèn)知語言學(xué)的概念整合理論出發(fā),對(duì)比分析李白政治諷喻詩英譯本的得失,試圖討論基于概念整合理論建立的九空間模型是否能夠應(yīng)用于政治諷喻詩乃至其他古典詩歌翻譯研究,并且探討九空間模型對(duì)于翻譯實(shí)踐的借鑒意義。 唐詩的發(fā)展存在著不同的階段,詩歌上初盛中晚的這一劃分,與唐代的政治制度密切相關(guān)。中唐時(shí)期,盛唐詩人那種浪漫豪爽的氣質(zhì)已成為過去,嚴(yán)峻、冷酷的現(xiàn)實(shí)使詩人們陷入郁悶、凝重、陰冷和憂憤之中。陰郁沉重成為中唐詩的基調(diào),失落彷徨變成中唐詩人的心靈寫照。李白作為中國文學(xué)詩歌史上浪漫主義杰出代表人物,在現(xiàn)存九百九十多首詩歌中,留下了大量的政治諷喻詩,或批判朝政弊端,感慨有志之士不能施展抱負(fù)。近一二百年來,陸續(xù)有中外翻譯家將李白的政治諷喻詩翻譯到其他語言。李白的詩歌有雄渾飄逸的一面,詩中“比興”所用的形象,有的洋溢著陽剛的豪氣,有的流露出柔和的秀氣,這都給翻譯帶來了很大的難度。 20世紀(jì)80年代末新興起的以語義為中心的認(rèn)知語言學(xué),嘗試使用新的研究方法,其他學(xué)科的最新研究成果來探討語言現(xiàn)象背后的認(rèn)知規(guī)律。福柯涅提出的心理空間和概念整合理論,給翻譯研究提供了新的理論角度。福柯涅在其著作中雖然提到了語境、背景對(duì)人類認(rèn)知活動(dòng)的影響,但其缺少較為系統(tǒng)的、理論化的論述(FauconnierTurner,2002)。對(duì)于英譯中國古典詩詞,解讀詩歌的創(chuàng)作背景對(duì)于更好的理解詩歌中豐富的意象和體會(huì)作者思想感情來說顯得尤為重要。要分析李白的政治諷喻詩,勢(shì)必要聯(lián)系作者的寫作背景和唐朝的政治,才能更好的理解追求心身自由和解放昂揚(yáng)向上的精神的原因。九空間模型在原有的福柯涅的概念整合網(wǎng)絡(luò)基礎(chǔ)上,針對(duì)李白三類政治諷喻詩的特點(diǎn)加以改造,將背景信息作為域的一部分,由“古”或“今”、“現(xiàn)實(shí)”或“想象”作為兩個(gè)獨(dú)立的輸入空間開啟全局的概念整合網(wǎng)絡(luò),建構(gòu)了九空間概念整合模型,將詩歌中所有顯性信息和詩歌背后所包含的隱形背景信息都投射到九個(gè)空間中,使各個(gè)元素成為有機(jī)整體,從而弄清了各元素間的因果關(guān)系,把握詩歌的主旨,提取詩歌的精髓,實(shí)現(xiàn)譯文對(duì)原文的忠實(shí)反映。九空間模型通過新的視角來透視、分解翻譯過程,為翻譯理論研究提供了新的研究角度。 通過對(duì)幾個(gè)版本的李白政治諷喻詩英譯的研究,把握政治諷喻詩的主旨,揣摩詩人思想感情上的作用;而且,通過把原詩中投射到不同的空間的意象,與譯本中被投射到各空間的意象間的比對(duì),來發(fā)現(xiàn)是否有漏譯、錯(cuò)譯。研究結(jié)果表明概念整合理論對(duì)李白政治諷喻詩英譯有一定的指導(dǎo)意義和解釋力,并對(duì)漢語典籍英譯具有啟示作用。
[Abstract]:Based on the conceptual integration theory of cognitive linguistics, this paper compares the gains and losses of Li Bai's political allegorical poems in English. This paper attempts to discuss whether the nine-space model based on the theory of conceptual integration can be applied to the translation studies of political allegorical poetry and other classical poems, and discusses the significance of the nine-space model for translation practice. There are different stages in the development of Tang poetry, which is closely related to the political system of Tang Dynasty. In the middle Tang Dynasty, the romantic and bold temperament of the poets of the prosperous Tang Dynasty has become a thing of the past, and the grim and cold reality has plunged the poets into depression, grave, cold and sorrowful indignation. Somber and heavy became the keynote of the middle Tang poetry, loss and loss became the soul portrayal of the poets in the middle Tang Dynasty. Li Bai, as an outstanding representative of romanticism in the history of Chinese literary poetry, left a large number of political allegorical poems, or criticizing the malpractice of the government, in more than 990 existing poems. In the past 1 or 200 years, Chinese and foreign translators have translated Li Bai's political allegorical poems into other languages. Li Bai's poetry has a powerful and elegant side. The image of "Bi Xing" in the poem is filled with masculine grandeur and soft elegance, which brings great difficulty to translation. In the late 1980s, a new type of semantics-centered cognitive linguistics was developed to explore the cognitive laws behind linguistic phenomena by using new research methods and the latest research results of other disciplines. The theory of psychological space and conceptual integration put forward by Fauconia provides a new theoretical perspective for translation studies. Fauconier Turnery mentioned the influence of context and background on human cognitive activities in his works, but he lacked a systematic and theoretical discussion. For the translation of Chinese classical poetry, it is very important to understand the background of poetry creation for a better understanding of the rich images in poetry and the author's thoughts and feelings. In order to analyze Li Bai's political allegorical poems, it is necessary to relate the author's writing background to the politics of the Tang Dynasty in order to better understand the reasons for pursuing the freedom of mind and body and liberating the uplifting spirit. On the basis of the original Focone concept integration network, the Nine Space Model reconstructs the characteristics of Li Bai's three kinds of political allegorical poems, and takes the background information as a part of the domain by "ancient" or "present". As two independent input spaces, "reality" or "imagination" opens the global conceptual integration network, and constructs a nine-dimensional conceptual integration model. All the explicit information in poetry and the hidden background information behind poetry are projected into nine spaces, so that each element becomes an organic whole, so as to understand the causality between the elements and grasp the main theme of the poem. Extract the essence of the poem and realize the faithful reflection of the translation to the original text. Nine-space model provides a new perspective for the study of translation theory by analyzing the translation process from a new perspective. Through the study of several versions of Li Bai's political allegorical poems into English, the author grasps the gist of political allegorical poems, and tries to figure out the function of poets' thoughts and feelings; moreover, by projecting images into different spaces in the original poems, Compare with the images projected to each space in the translation to find out if there is any missing or wrong translation. The research results show that the theory of conceptual integration has certain guiding significance and explanatory power for the translation of Li Bai's political allegorical poems into English, and also has an enlightening effect on the English translation of Chinese classics.
