翻譯批評(píng)與讀者反應(yīng)

【摘要】: 負(fù)責(zé)的、有效的文學(xué)翻譯批評(píng)應(yīng)該是客觀的、辨證的和動(dòng)態(tài)的。要達(dá)到這種目的就離不開(kāi)讀者的參與,F(xiàn)在對(duì)于翻譯批評(píng)的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和方法的論述可謂是“百花齊放”,但涉及到讀者反應(yīng)的卻為數(shù)不多;谧x者反應(yīng)的翻譯批評(píng)理論,如尤金·奈達(dá)的“動(dòng)態(tài)對(duì)等”理論,也沒(méi)有深入的討論判斷是否實(shí)現(xiàn)“對(duì)等”的途徑。本文提出一種“改進(jìn)的”對(duì)等理論——“動(dòng)態(tài)互動(dòng)對(duì)等”,從人類認(rèn)知的角度闡述了讀者反應(yīng)在翻譯批評(píng)中的主體作用。本文從分析人類翻譯活動(dòng)的認(rèn)知性入手,進(jìn)一步提出讀者閱讀文本的過(guò)程也是一個(gè)心理認(rèn)知過(guò)程,那么原文讀者閱讀原文時(shí)腦子中形成的圖象及其實(shí)現(xiàn)就和譯文讀者閱讀譯文時(shí)腦子中形成的圖象及其實(shí)現(xiàn)具有可比較性。若兩者可達(dá)到“互動(dòng)對(duì)等”,,則譯文就是好的譯本。這種完全基于讀者反應(yīng)的“互動(dòng)對(duì)等”理論的實(shí)現(xiàn)是基于對(duì)讀者反應(yīng)的統(tǒng)計(jì)、分析和比較之上的。因此本文以《紅樓夢(mèng)》中的一段文字及其英譯本為例,分別就中、西方讀者的反應(yīng)進(jìn)行比較分析,同時(shí)也驗(yàn)證了“動(dòng)態(tài)互動(dòng)對(duì)等”理論在翻譯批評(píng)中的可操作性和有效性。
[Abstract]:Responsible and effective literary translation criticism should be objective, dialectical and dynamic. To achieve this goal, readers can not be separated from the participation. At present, the standards and methods of translation criticism can be described as "blooming a hundred flowers", but few of them involve readers' responses. The theory of translation criticism based on readers' reaction, such as Eugene Nida's "dynamic equivalence" theory, has not been discussed in depth to judge whether or not to achieve "equivalence". This paper presents an "improved" equivalence theory, "dynamic interactive equivalence", which illustrates the subjective role of readers' response in translation criticism from the perspective of human cognition. Based on the analysis of the cognitive nature of human translation, this paper further points out that the process of reading text is also a psychological cognitive process. Then the image formed in the mind of the original reader while reading the original text and its realization are comparable with the image formed in the brain of the target reader when reading the target text and its realization. If the two can achieve "interactive equivalence", the translation is a good translation. The realization of this "interactive equivalence" theory is based on the statistics, analysis and comparison of readers' responses. Therefore, taking a paragraph in A Dream of Red Mansions and its English translation as an example, this paper makes a comparative analysis of the responses of Chinese and Western readers, and also verifies the maneuverability and validity of the "dynamic interactive equivalence" theory in translation criticism.
