紅樓花品之海棠文化翻譯研究

【摘要】:為人不讀《紅樓夢》,閱盡詩書也枉然。千秋流轉(zhuǎn),愈覺如是。 一部紅樓涵括以神話符號作用的象征主義,人物事件與生活場景描寫的現(xiàn)實主義,以及氣氛渲染與抒情方式的浪漫主義,使得《紅樓夢》不僅獨(dú)步中國古典文學(xué)領(lǐng)域而不爭,更應(yīng)躋身于世界文學(xué)經(jīng)典之列而無愧。 曹雪芹書中自云:“今風(fēng)塵碌碌,一事無成,忽念及當(dāng)日所有之女子,一一細(xì)考較去,覺其行止見識,皆出于我之上!钡莱銮Ъt一窟(哭),萬艷同杯(悲)之女子悲劇,彰顯了作者博大深沉的人文主義關(guān)懷。 女子,花也。中華花文化,實為自然之菁華與人文情懷綰結(jié)一處。自古有陶淵明之菊友相伴,林和靖之梅妻鶴子,傳為佳話。一部《紅樓夢》恰為一幅群芳圖,名花佳木齊聚大觀園之中,吟花詞賦游貫全書之間。大觀園中人,喜則以花為戲,悲則以花志痛,作者將人運(yùn)之興衰與花勢之榮萎融合一體,含蓄深刻,高尚脫俗。 《紅樓夢》的翻譯研究,尤以文化翻譯為重。然而如此一部百科全書似的文學(xué)巨著,只可取滄海之一粟。本文以紅樓花文化作為切入點,對《紅樓夢》中海棠文化進(jìn)行翻譯研究。 論文主要從海棠品名(物質(zhì)層面)與海棠詩賦(精神層面)兩部分著手,深入對比,考量得失。以最大程度展現(xiàn)中華文化內(nèi)涵,彰顯神韻為目的,在對《紅樓夢》原著深入理解與品悟之前提下,吸納部分國內(nèi)“紅學(xué)”研究成果。對兩部英文全譯本《紅樓夢》進(jìn)行深層次文化分析,進(jìn)而做出翻譯評論與翻譯實踐。 本論文包含引言,主體,與結(jié)論三部分。 引言,主要介紹《紅樓夢》花(海棠)文化翻譯研究價值并結(jié)合現(xiàn)存兩英文全譯本之概況,滲透論文的研究意義。 第一章概括中國花文化之起源與特點,同時介紹《紅樓夢》花文化。 第二章概括目前《紅樓夢》翻譯研究現(xiàn)狀并紅樓海棠文化翻譯研究價值。 第三章對《紅樓夢》中兩大海棠花品進(jìn)行文化翻譯研究。 第四章對《紅樓夢》中海棠詩賦的英譯進(jìn)行深層次對比研究。 第五章探討不同的譯者風(fēng)格與翻譯策略對原著譯文的影響。 最后結(jié)語。 任何單一的翻譯模式用來處理像《紅樓夢》這樣文化內(nèi)涵著實豐富的傳統(tǒng)名著,都是難以實現(xiàn)的。唯有在翻譯過程中取歸化與異化策略之所長,平衡原著的內(nèi)容,意義與意蘊(yùn),使其最大程度上和諧統(tǒng)一,才能稱之為真正意義上的“信”“達(dá)”“雅”。 《紅樓夢》翻譯研究有待深化與系統(tǒng)化,無疑會對譯者與翻譯研究者的素養(yǎng)提出更高要求。伴隨中國國際地位的逐漸提升,中華文化由邊緣位置向中心地位逐步靠攏。中華文明正向世人展示一個古老民族的睿智。 與此同時文化翻譯常常讓人心有余而力不足。其翻譯者的個性,氣質(zhì),心里稟賦,知識面,語言應(yīng)用能力,乃至譯者的立場,道德因素等無不影響著翻譯活動。作為一個懂外語者,翻譯研究者,應(yīng)以傳播中華文化為己任,最大程度再現(xiàn)《紅樓夢》原著的豐富內(nèi)涵,彰顯中華神韻。

This paper mainly from the name (the material level) and Begonia Begonia Poetry (spiritual) two part to in-depth comparison, consider the pros and cons. Show the connotation of Chinese culture to the greatest extent, highlight the charm for the purpose of "a dream of Red Mansions" original understanding and appreciation of the domestic, absorbing part of Redology research. Through the deep analysis of the two versions English culture "a dream of Red Mansions", and then make the translation criticism and translation practice.
This paper includes the introduction, the subject, and the three part of the conclusion.
The introduction mainly introduces the value of the study on the cultural translation of the dream of Red Mansions (crabapple) and combines the general situation of the existing two English versions to penetrate the research significance of the paper.
The first chapter summarizes the origin and characteristics of the Chinese flower culture, and introduces the "dream of Red Mansions > flower culture".
The second chapter summarizes the current status of the translation study of the dream of Red Mansions and the value of the cultural translation study of the Red Mansion crabapple culture.
The third chapter studies the cultural translation of the two major Begonia flowers in the "dream of Red Mansions".

The fifth chapter discusses the influence of different translators' style and translation strategies on the original translation.
The final conclusion.
Any single translation model to handle such as "a dream of Red Mansions" is the rich traditional cultural connotation masterpiece, is difficult to achieve. Only in the process of translation from the director of domestication and foreignization, the balance of the original content, meaning and implication, the maximum degree of harmony, can be called a true meaning the "letter" of "elegance".
