　　大衛(wèi)·勞倫斯是英國當(dāng)代一位多產(chǎn)但又頗有爭議的作家。盡管他的許多作品受到褒貶不一的評(píng)論，有的甚至被禁止出版，如《查泰萊夫人的情人》，但不可否認(rèn)該小說在解禁后卻贏得了種種好評(píng)。 19世紀(jì)中后期在法國出現(xiàn)的以真實(shí)性、科學(xué)性和實(shí)驗(yàn)性為特征的自然主義文學(xué)思潮，發(fā)展到19世紀(jì)末20世紀(jì)初，雖已逐漸為現(xiàn)代主義文學(xué)所取代，然而，自然主義作為現(xiàn)實(shí)主義文學(xué)和現(xiàn)代主義文學(xué)的中介，它所具有的現(xiàn)代文學(xué)的特征并不會(huì)很快消失，而是滲透到了現(xiàn)代文學(xué)中，并為20世紀(jì)作家所繼承和發(fā)展。在英國著名作家勞倫斯的小說《查泰萊夫人的情人》中，自然主義的特征就十分明顯。 本篇論文分析《查泰萊夫人的情人》中的主題思想和創(chuàng)作方法，細(xì)致探討了勞倫斯在這部小說中的自然主義創(chuàng)作特征。本文第一章介紹了作者及其寫作特點(diǎn)。第二章介紹了小說的創(chuàng)作背景及主要情節(jié)，援引了國內(nèi)外評(píng)論界的觀點(diǎn)。第三章著重闡述了自然主義的特征及作者的自然主義思想。第四章具體分析了小說中勞倫斯所闡發(fā)的自然主義思想和使用的自然主義創(chuàng)作手法。通過以上分析，可以看出勞倫斯在《查泰萊夫人的情人》中不僅繼承了自然主義傳統(tǒng)同時(shí)又進(jìn)一步發(fā)展了它。
