本文從語用學(xué)的角度,對阿瑟·米勒的《推銷員之死》中的部分對白進行詳細分析,旨在探討戲劇中的角色是如何通過對話達到其交際目的的。希望對《推銷員之死》的語用學(xué)分析能為更好地理解該劇有所貢獻。 本文從《推銷員之死》中選取了23段對白作為分析對象。本文運用言語行為理論、話輪控制技巧、合作原則、禮貌原則以及批評性語篇分析方法對所選語料進行分析。話輪控制技巧可以使我們了解戲劇中的人物是出于何種目的、采用何種技巧取得或讓出話輪的,有助于了解交際中參與者的交際策略。在戲劇中,人物對白是完成某種語言行為的重要手段。對話分析有助于我們了解人物的真正意圖。 本研究對于英語教學(xué)、戲劇欣賞和日常交際具有一定的借鑒意義。話輪控制技巧的傳授有助于學(xué)生更好地進行交際。批評性語篇分析理論和方法的學(xué)習(xí)有助于增強學(xué)生的批評性語言意識。將語用學(xué)理論用于戲劇欣賞有助于揭示出人物的真正意圖,有助于我們了解劇作家是如何通過各種語言技巧來展開情節(jié)、刻畫人物和表達意圖的。本研究對日常交際,特別是家庭成員間的交際,有一些啟示,有助于我們學(xué)會怎樣成功地進行交際并達到交際目的。
