語(yǔ)言學(xué)為文體學(xué)提供理論的基礎(chǔ),新的語(yǔ)言學(xué)理論的出現(xiàn)都會(huì)促使新的文體理論的誕生,形式文體學(xué)、功能文體學(xué)以及話(huà)語(yǔ)文體學(xué)都是語(yǔ)言學(xué)理論在文體學(xué)上的運(yùn)用。功能文體學(xué)是以韓禮德的系統(tǒng)功能語(yǔ)法為理論基礎(chǔ)的文體學(xué)理論,它把語(yǔ)言看作是具有意義潛勢(shì)的系統(tǒng)并從社會(huì)環(huán)境的層次對(duì)語(yǔ)言進(jìn)行分析而不僅局限于語(yǔ)言的本身。它從韓禮德提出的三大元功能的角度分析語(yǔ)言,即:概念功能,人際功能和語(yǔ)篇功能,在現(xiàn)代文體學(xué)的發(fā)展中發(fā)揮著越來(lái)越重要的作用。 �？思{(1897—1962)是美國(guó)南方作家的代表人物,他的作品一直以來(lái)備受文學(xué)界的關(guān)注。�？思{作品中的意識(shí)流、多角度敘述和敘述技巧等文學(xué)手法影響了一代作家。他的作品展現(xiàn)了南方人特有的幽默感,深入刻畫(huà)了黑人與白人的地位、相處、矛盾等敏感問(wèn)題,也生動(dòng)地描繪出惟妙惟肖的南方人物形象。 本文所選用的唯一的語(yǔ)料來(lái)源是小說(shuō)《燒馬棚》,是威廉·�？思{寫(xiě)于1939年的短篇小說(shuō),他也因?yàn)檫@篇小說(shuō)獲得了首屆“歐·亨利紀(jì)念獎(jiǎng)”,而這篇小說(shuō)也被視為他的代表作之一。國(guó)內(nèi)對(duì)�？思{小說(shuō)的研究主要集中在《喧囂與騷動(dòng)》、《我彌留之際》、《押沙龍,押沙龍!》《八月之光》以及《艾米莉的玫瑰》上,對(duì)《燒馬棚》的關(guān)注相對(duì)...
