把混亂帶給秩序 ——庫爾特·馮內(nèi)古特《五號屠

庫爾特·馮內(nèi)古特是當(dāng)代美國文壇上頗具影響的后現(xiàn)代主義小說家。雖然馮內(nèi)古特?fù)碛袕V泛的讀者群,他的小說更是躋身暢銷書的行列,但是在大多數(shù)評論家眼里,他始終無法超越其同時代的一些其他作家如約翰·巴斯,托馬斯·品欽。除了《五號屠場》獲得如潮好評以外,“黑色幽默”這一標(biāo)簽成了對他及其作品的全部概括。而他的其他作品如《冠軍早餐》同樣是后現(xiàn)代主義小說的實驗文本,國內(nèi)卻少人問津。本文作者在研讀馮內(nèi)古特《五號屠場》和《冠軍早餐》這兩部作品的基礎(chǔ)上從后現(xiàn)代主義元小說角度出發(fā)對這兩部小說進(jìn)行技巧分析,并指出馮內(nèi)古特獨創(chuàng)性的運用這些技巧打破了傳統(tǒng)的小說寫作模式,為小說這一文學(xué)形式的發(fā)展做出了貢獻(xiàn)。 作者首先簡要介紹了馮內(nèi)古特及其作品,同時還對國內(nèi)外馮內(nèi)古特的研究狀況及成果作了簡要回顧,突出本文的原創(chuàng)性和撰寫的必要性,最后提出本文的中心論點。 在第一章中,本文作者對一些涉及后現(xiàn)代主義、后現(xiàn)代主義小說和元小說的理論進(jìn)行了簡要的界定和分析。 第二章分析了兩部小說共同運用的元小說技巧,包括暗指,第三人稱/第一人稱侵入式敘述和嵌套式結(jié)構(gòu)(“嵌套式結(jié)構(gòu)”,中文語境未見成規(guī)譯法,筆者試譯)。熱奈特的互文理論,帕特里夏·沃關(guān)...
