索爾·貝婁（1915-2005）是美國(guó)最負(fù)盛名的猶太作家之一。他的第一部長(zhǎng)篇小說,《晃來晃去的人》,開創(chuàng)了貝婁塑造“反英雄”人物的歷史。有關(guān)此書的評(píng)論絕大多數(shù)都是關(guān)于小說的男主人公的,很少有人關(guān)注小說中的女主人公。運(yùn)用福柯的權(quán)力關(guān)系理論來分析小說中的人物關(guān)系的評(píng)論家就更少了。本文將嘗試運(yùn)用福柯的權(quán)力關(guān)系理論來解讀這本小說。根據(jù)米歇爾·福柯對(duì)權(quán)力的新定義,權(quán)力還包括微觀的人際關(guān)系,尤其是一個(gè)人企圖控制他人行為的關(guān)系。被控制者會(huì)逃避或反抗這種控制,甚至反過來對(duì)控制者加以控制,這樣一來就構(gòu)成了一個(gè)復(fù)雜的人際權(quán)力關(guān)系網(wǎng)。本文之所以采用�？碌臋�(quán)力觀的原因是:同傳統(tǒng)的權(quán)力定義相比,他的定義更加成熟、廣泛、深刻。傳統(tǒng)的權(quán)力定義關(guān)注的是階級(jí)間的宏觀權(quán)力,而�？碌臋�(quán)力理論關(guān)注的是人與人之間的微觀權(quán)力關(guān)系。此外,傳統(tǒng)的權(quán)力定義認(rèn)為權(quán)力是壓抑性的,而�？聞t認(rèn)為權(quán)力并非都是壓抑的,也可以是生產(chǎn)性的。�？碌臋�(quán)力理論可以被應(yīng)用來分析貝婁作品的人物間的權(quán)力關(guān)系,因?yàn)楹笳哧P(guān)注的焦點(diǎn)也是人與人之間的關(guān)系。福柯認(rèn)為在男人和女人之間,在家庭成員之間顯然存在著各種權(quán)力關(guān)系,正如《晃來晃去的人》中所展現(xiàn)的。所以�？碌臋�(quán)力理論非...
