　　作為兩大主要方法，文學(xué)批評(píng)和文體分析一直被廣泛用來分析文學(xué)作品。對(duì)小說文體的分析近年來有所增加，但至今仍未證明某一種方法對(duì)文學(xué)作品的分析非常有效。70年代初以來，基于系統(tǒng)功能語法的功能文體學(xué)蓬勃發(fā)展。這可歸于以下原因：1)功能文體學(xué)將文體研究擴(kuò)展到“內(nèi)容”這一不被文學(xué)文體學(xué)關(guān)注的范疇，有利于揭示人物生存活動(dòng)的性質(zhì)和觀察世界的特定方法。2)該理論有很強(qiáng)的系統(tǒng)性。3)強(qiáng)調(diào)語言，語篇與社會(huì)語境的關(guān)系也是功能文體學(xué)的顯著特點(diǎn)。功能文體學(xué)理論將文體視為“有動(dòng)因的突出”。即語篇中出乎意料的模式，一旦與表達(dá)作者的整體意義有關(guān)，就可視為“有動(dòng)因的突出”。韓禮德認(rèn)為突出既可看作偏離常規(guī)，也可看作獲取常規(guī)，但他傾向于后者。作者認(rèn)為只要與文章的整體意義有關(guān)，兩者都可視作文體特征。以前的功能文體分析只限于詞匯語法層的某一方面。從功能文體學(xué)的角度來分析經(jīng)典作品的文章更是寥寥無幾。因而這方面的嘗試顯得猶為重要。本論文采用韓禮德系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)理論對(duì)《傲慢與偏見》中的第十九章在及物性，語氣，情態(tài)和意態(tài)，主位等幾個(gè)層次上同時(shí)展開分析，并將分析的結(jié)果與語境的三個(gè)變項(xiàng)即語義，語旨和語式相聯(lián)系進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià)。旨在證明獲取常規(guī)與偏離...
