　　作為兩大主要方法，文學批評和文體分析一直被廣泛用來分析文學作品。對小說文體的分析近年來有所增加，但至今仍未證明某一種方法對文學作品的分析非常有效。70年代初以來，基于系統(tǒng)功能語法的功能文體學蓬勃發(fā)展。這可歸于以下原因：1)功能文體學將文體研究擴展到“內容”這一不被文學文體學關注的范疇，有利于揭示人物生存活動的性質和觀察世界的特定方法。2)該理論有很強的系統(tǒng)性。3)強調語言，語篇與社會語境的關系也是功能文體學的顯著特點。功能文體學理論將文體視為“有動因的突出”。即語篇中出乎意料的模式，一旦與表達作者的整體意義有關，就可視為“有動因的突出”。韓禮德認為突出既可看作偏離常規(guī)，也可看作獲取常規(guī)，但他傾向于后者。作者認為只要與文章的整體意義有關，兩者都可視作文體特征。以前的功能文體分析只限于詞匯語法層的某一方面。從功能文體學的角度來分析經(jīng)典作品的文章更是寥寥無幾。因而這方面的嘗試顯得猶為重要。本論文采用韓禮德系統(tǒng)功能語言學理論對《傲慢與偏見》中的第十九章在及物性，語氣，情態(tài)和意態(tài)，主位等幾個層次上同時展開分析，并將分析的結果與語境的三個變項即語義，語旨和語式相聯(lián)系進行評價。旨在證明獲取常規(guī)與偏離...
