歐內(nèi)斯特·海明威是二十世紀美國最重要也是最有影響力的小說家,他的小說及其個人神話中所表現(xiàn)的男子漢名聲致使一些早期讀者認為,海明威漠視女性,甚至有些評論家斷言,海明威根本不能表現(xiàn)女性;他更擅長表現(xiàn)沒有女人的男人。其實海明威小說中的婦女角色形形色色,但海明威的評論家們卻往往把她們歸類化:不是魔女就是天使,不是閹割者就是愛情的奴隸,不是淫婦就是賢妻,而不是有血有肉、真實可信的人。本文將從生態(tài)女權(quán)角度對海明威主要作品中的女性角色進行全面細致地解讀,從而體現(xiàn)海明威的相互關(guān)聯(lián)和相互關(guān)愛的社會倫理意識,及其對女人和男人,人類社會和自然之間關(guān)系的關(guān)注,證明海明威是一位具有生態(tài)女性意識的男作家。
