《已故上校的女兒》中的人際意義研究

作為一種交流工具,語言可以用來表現(xiàn)說話人/作者與聽話人/讀者在口頭交際和書面篇章中進行的互動事件。語言的這種意義交換的功能被稱為人際元功能。人際意義來自于語言的人際功能,是韓禮德系統(tǒng)功能語法中三大純理功能的一個重要組成部分。人際意義的研究無疑為語篇分析,包括文學(xué)作品的解讀,提供了一個有力的工具。它使讀者關(guān)注到文學(xué)作品中的社會性和語境意義,從而為文學(xué)作品的理解與欣賞開辟了新徑。本文旨在從功能主義視角研究短篇故事《已故上校的女兒》中的人際意義。韓禮德在功能主義框架中區(qū)分了語言的三個元功能,并在小句層面確定了表達這三個元功能的獨立的語言資源。他提出人際功能主要是由語氣和情態(tài)系統(tǒng)實現(xiàn)的。而實際上,實現(xiàn)人際意義的資源形式多樣,它們韻律性地彌漫在整個話語中。正是基于這一點,李戰(zhàn)子(2002)擴展了人際意義模型,探討了實現(xiàn)人際意義的多種手段。她進一步提出了實現(xiàn)概念意義、人際意義和語篇意義的語言資源互有交錯的觀點。換句話說,某些手段可以同時實現(xiàn)兩種元功能。受到李博士研究成果的啟發(fā),本研究不拘泥于韓禮德傳統(tǒng)功能語法框架下實現(xiàn)人際意義的方式,同時也試圖探討與概念功能和語篇功能有關(guān)的手段對實現(xiàn)人際意義的貢獻...
