《你能走多遠(yuǎn)?》的狂歡—對(duì)話時(shí)空體

作為英國當(dāng)代最杰出的文學(xué)批評(píng)家和小說家之一,戴維·洛奇常常把小說理論和創(chuàng)作實(shí)踐相結(jié)合。在影響他后期創(chuàng)作的諸多批評(píng)理論中,最為重要的就是巴赫金對(duì)話理論,因?yàn)檎沁@一理論極大地改變了他思想模式中獨(dú)白的方面。本文從巴赫金文化理論,特別是狂歡化時(shí)空體概念這一視角出發(fā),將洛奇的代表作品《你能走多遠(yuǎn)?》作為廣場(chǎng)和門檻、敘事時(shí)間和歷史時(shí)間等不同范疇或聲音并行存在的時(shí)空體系的典范,討論了時(shí)間-空間內(nèi)在的動(dòng)態(tài)關(guān)系,并把這種特殊的時(shí)空關(guān)系命名為“狂歡-對(duì)話時(shí)空體”。第一部分介紹了論文切入點(diǎn)及國內(nèi)外研究現(xiàn)狀,引入了狂歡節(jié)和時(shí)空體的概念,并指出它們之間的關(guān)聯(lián)。第二部分把中國傳統(tǒng)空間觀作為參照系,通過中西文學(xué)文化的比較得出結(jié)論:中國文學(xué)文化注重內(nèi)省、由內(nèi)而外發(fā)展,變化的原初態(tài)是封閉的空間,而過程是逐漸累積的,而西方文化更為外向,文學(xué)作品中的人類行為充滿奔走和行動(dòng)感,這就需要廣闊的廣場(chǎng)空間使人與人發(fā)生接觸、沖突及各種置于壓力下的關(guān)系,各種動(dòng)態(tài)的過程被濃縮在很短的時(shí)間里,危機(jī)和轉(zhuǎn)變層出不窮,這一切決定了西方文學(xué)的部分空間建構(gòu)同樣需要狹窄的、凝聚大量信息的門檻空間。通過對(duì)《你能走多遠(yuǎn)?》的細(xì)讀分析,廣場(chǎng)和門檻場(chǎng)景在這...
