弗吉尼亞·伍爾夫《幕間》中的現(xiàn)實(shí)性藝術(shù)

弗吉尼亞·伍爾夫(1882-1941)是英國文學(xué)史上一個(gè)杰出的現(xiàn)代主義多產(chǎn)女作家,歷來受到評(píng)論家的極大關(guān)注。她畢生筆耕不輟,向她的讀者奉獻(xiàn)了大量的小說、短篇、散文隨筆和文藝批評(píng),每部作品無不閃爍著這位女作家思想的精髓和光輝。她的獨(dú)特、偉大、富有創(chuàng)造性的思想,對(duì)凈化人們的精神世界做出了巨大的貢獻(xiàn)。伍爾夫?qū)⑽膶W(xué)藝術(shù)的創(chuàng)新視為一生為之努力的事業(yè),力圖使自己的作品在藝術(shù)上達(dá)到盡善盡美。伍爾夫與她同時(shí)代的現(xiàn)代主義代表喬伊斯、?思{、普魯斯特、艾略特等人齊名,并從某種程度上來說比這些男作家更有影響力。在她的諸多長篇小說當(dāng)中,《到燈塔去》、《達(dá)羅衛(wèi)夫人》、《海浪》等無疑已成為意識(shí)流名篇,成為眾多批評(píng)家研究的范本,然而,她的最后一部同樣富有創(chuàng)造性的小說《幕間》卻沒有受到應(yīng)有的關(guān)注。本文的目的在于重申《幕間》在伍爾夫的眾多小說中的地位,同時(shí)強(qiáng)調(diào)《幕間》的歷史意義和文學(xué)價(jià)值。通過對(duì)小說本身的細(xì)讀和分析,并結(jié)合小說成書時(shí),即二戰(zhàn)時(shí)期的時(shí)代背景,揭示伍爾夫在此書中藝術(shù)表現(xiàn)手法的轉(zhuǎn)變以及對(duì)社會(huì)現(xiàn)實(shí)的關(guān)注和擔(dān)憂。伍爾夫本人在殘酷的戰(zhàn)爭環(huán)境中深切地感受到藝術(shù)發(fā)展的艱難,這明顯體現(xiàn)在《幕間》當(dāng)中,展示了和諧與沖突同在...
