本文以韓禮德系統(tǒng)功能語法及相關(guān)的系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)理論為依托解讀英國女作家朵麗絲·萊辛的小說《草原日出》。系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)派將語言系統(tǒng)視為社會(huì)的產(chǎn)物,即文化的實(shí)現(xiàn)形式之一。而語言系統(tǒng)與文本之間是一種具體與一般的關(guān)系。針對具體文本的分析是理解社會(huì)文化含義的重要途徑。在系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)理論的眾多視角中,本文選取了及物性系統(tǒng)和主位系統(tǒng)作為分析的焦點(diǎn),以此挖掘出該小說的深刻立意,即人類和其他所有生物一樣渺小,大自然有其自身發(fā)展的規(guī)律,沒有任何人能控制它。與此同時(shí),本文又印證了語言形式的選擇取決于其社會(huì)意義這一觀點(diǎn),從而證實(shí)了系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)派語言觀及意義觀的正確性。
