　　 莎士比亞四大悲劇《哈姆雷特》、《奧賽羅》、《李爾王》、《馬克白》自問世以來，針對(duì)四大悲劇的研究數(shù)不勝數(shù)。但是，從語言角度對(duì)四大悲劇中各式人物塑造的研究一直未被重視。本論文以英國語言學(xué)家李奇的語言學(xué)理論為研究基礎(chǔ)，對(duì)四大悲劇中的語言現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行了系統(tǒng)、全面的劃分與歸類，并由此著手，對(duì)這些語言現(xiàn)象在人物塑造中的作用進(jìn)行了深入的分析。本論文力圖使人們認(rèn)識(shí)到四大悲劇中語言對(duì)人物塑造的重要性。莎士比亞通過文本中大量修辭手法的使用從不同角度對(duì)人物進(jìn)行了全面、深刻的塑造。本論文將采取文本細(xì)讀的方法對(duì)人物塑造進(jìn)行分析，使對(duì)人物的解讀有據(jù)可依，有理可循。 第一部分為論文的引言部分。主要內(nèi)容包括莎士比亞的生平與創(chuàng)作、文獻(xiàn)綜述以及研究方法。生平與創(chuàng)作部分簡要介紹了莎士比亞的生平及其戲劇創(chuàng)作的四個(gè)時(shí)期。文獻(xiàn)綜述部分列舉了莎評(píng)史上的主要流派及其相應(yīng)的代表人物，并著重介紹了近年來國內(nèi)外莎學(xué)界在本研究領(lǐng)域的一些最新成果。研究方法部分介紹了李奇的相關(guān)語言學(xué)理論，并對(duì)研究中用到的重要概念，包括前景化、陌生化、偏離、重復(fù)等進(jìn)行了詳細(xì)的闡釋。 論文第一章討論造成前景化的“語音及表層語法結(jié)構(gòu)上的重復(fù)”(schemes)及其對(duì)人物塑造的作用。語言重復(fù)現(xiàn)象起到了使語言前景化的作用，有助于人物的塑造。本章首先對(duì)“語音及表層語法結(jié)構(gòu)上的重復(fù)”的定義進(jìn)行了全方位闡釋。在此基礎(chǔ)上，本章著重分析自由話語重復(fù)、話語上的平行結(jié)構(gòu)、句法上的平行結(jié)構(gòu)，并以此為據(jù)，對(duì)四大悲劇中的此類語言現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行了相應(yīng)的分類。另外，本章通過大量實(shí)例，詮釋了自由話語重復(fù)、話語上的平行結(jié)構(gòu)、句法上的平行結(jié)構(gòu)是如何對(duì)戲劇中的相關(guān)人物進(jìn)行塑造的。 論文第二章討論造成前景化的“語義或深層語法結(jié)構(gòu)上的偏離”(tropes)及其對(duì)人物塑造的作用。語言的偏離現(xiàn)象與語言的重復(fù)現(xiàn)象一樣，也能起到使語言前景化的作用，有助于人物的塑造。首先，本章對(duì)“語義或深層語法結(jié)構(gòu)上的偏離”的定義進(jìn)行了具體的闡釋。在此基礎(chǔ)上，本章著重討論隱喻與悖論（矛盾修辭），并以此為據(jù)，對(duì)四大悲劇中的此類語言現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行了相應(yīng)的分類。另外，本章通過大量實(shí)例，闡釋了隱喻與悖論（矛盾修辭）是如何對(duì)戲劇中的相關(guān)人物進(jìn)行塑造的。 論文第三章討論其它形式的語言偏離現(xiàn)象及其對(duì)人物的塑造作用。其它形式的語言偏離現(xiàn)象包括語域偏離和詞匯上的偏離。莎士比亞在使用第二人稱代詞時(shí)，對(duì)you(your,yours,yourself)和thou(thy,thee,thine,thyself)進(jìn)行了混合使用。四大悲劇中此類混用現(xiàn)象不在少數(shù)。但這種混用現(xiàn)象并不是隨意，毫無目的的。兩者的混用對(duì)人物塑造起到了舉足輕重的作用。詞匯上的偏離現(xiàn)象指雙關(guān)語。本章通過大量實(shí)例，詮釋了語域偏離和雙關(guān)語是如何對(duì)戲劇中的相關(guān)人物進(jìn)行塑造的。 結(jié)束語部分對(duì)自由話語重復(fù)、話語上的平行結(jié)構(gòu)、句法上的平行結(jié)構(gòu)、隱喻、悖論（矛盾修辭）、語域偏離、雙關(guān)語在人物塑造方面的具體作用進(jìn)行了框架式總結(jié)。莎士比亞在其四大悲劇中所呈現(xiàn)的各式人物可用多樣性、復(fù)雜性、深刻性來概括。莎士比亞正是通過對(duì)自由話語重復(fù)、話語上的平行結(jié)構(gòu)、句法上的平行結(jié)構(gòu)、隱喻、悖論（矛盾修辭）、語域偏離、雙關(guān)語的運(yùn)用，全方位、多層次地將其人物的多樣性、復(fù)雜性、深刻性淋漓盡致地展現(xiàn)在讀者面前，構(gòu)成了一幅人的全景圖。
