論哈金小說(shuō)的“中國(guó)故事”
[Abstract]:Harkin, as an American Chinese-American literary writer, has attracted more and more researchers' attention because his works have won many awards. Throughout his novels so far, we can find that most of his works are based on Chinese stories. Because of the negative theme involved in his China Story, many critics criticized Hagin's creation by objectifying the Chinese image and catering to the mainstream of the West, believing that there was a tendency of "Orientalism" in his creation, thus negating his creation. This thesis focuses on Hagin's China Story, and holds that he is a writer who dares to face the national disaster. His novels on Chinese themes have written "extraordinary things" in the special historical period of China in general. In the aspect of material acquisition, he broke through some forbidden areas, such as "Korean War", "June 4th Wave" and so on, and had a serious sense of reflection from the angle of view. His creation not only reflects the social situation of the special period in China, but also depicts the plight and spiritual imprisonment of the small potatoes in the special period through the historical writing of the sensitive period of China. The concern about the fate of individuals shows profound humanistic feelings. At the same time, Ha Jin also used polyphonic, isomorphism and collage and other artistic techniques, the use of these artistic techniques and the meaning of text expression complement each other. It can be said that Hagin's creation has a unique artistic value. Therefore, the excessive use of Orientalism to criticize Hagin's creation is not in line with the reality of Harkin's creation. Hagin's "China Story" is a kind of reflective creation. These works truly reflect the historical stories of the special period of China, so as to achieve the reflection and criticism of the present situation of Chinese society and Chinese traditional culture. Therefore, when we evaluate Harkin's works, we need to look at his works with a dialectical perspective. "ugliness" is not equal to "Orientalism," and we should avoid using "Orientalism" as the only criterion for measuring the value of works. Otherwise, it will ignore the important and unique value of Hagin's creation.
