研究布洛�!睹绹�(guó)在心中》中表現(xiàn)的少數(shù)族裔的文化身份重建

【摘要】:卡洛斯·布洛桑是公認(rèn)的最具影響力的亞裔美國(guó)作家之一。其代表作《美國(guó)在心中》被認(rèn)為是亞裔美國(guó)文學(xué)的具有開(kāi)創(chuàng)意義的作品。一般認(rèn)為布洛桑的這部作品反映了他對(duì)美國(guó)自由、民主、平等的向往,以及他對(duì)菲律賓本民族文化的鄙夷與失望。從某種程度上來(lái)說(shuō),美國(guó)對(duì)菲律賓的文化殖民政策確實(shí)使菲律賓人民,尤其是年輕一代的菲律賓人有了對(duì)美國(guó)的向往,使他們有了“美國(guó)夢(mèng)”。事實(shí)上,菲律賓青年人當(dāng)時(shí)在美國(guó)的生活是充滿了矛盾與困惑的。一方面,他們對(duì)他們一直以來(lái)追尋的美國(guó)夢(mèng)有一種深深的癡迷。另一方面,他們心中仍對(duì)自己的祖國(guó)有著深深的眷戀。無(wú)盡的彷徨與迷茫使他們陷入身份危機(jī)之中。小說(shuō)的主人公艾羅斯就是這些遭受身份危機(jī)的痛苦的年輕人的代表。哪里有壓迫,哪里就有反抗。長(zhǎng)期遭受的身份危機(jī)之苦促使像艾羅斯這樣的年輕人積極的尋找為他的同胞和他自己創(chuàng)建一個(gè)新的文化空間的努力,這個(gè)文化空間被后殖民主義理論家霍米巴巴定義為第三空間。 本文以后殖民理論為基礎(chǔ),,探討了在這部半自傳體的小說(shuō)中布洛桑如何將菲律賓人所遭受的美國(guó)的殖民統(tǒng)治迫害以及第一代菲律賓移民在美國(guó)所面臨的被白人主流文化所排斥、逐漸喪失了自己的文化身份的困境一一加以描述。并在文本細(xì)讀的基礎(chǔ)上分析了遭受美國(guó)殖民統(tǒng)治的菲律賓人民以及第一代菲律賓移民是如何通過(guò)暴力抗?fàn)�、訴諸法律、教育、寫(xiě)作、成立工會(huì)組織等方式抵抗美國(guó)的殖民及種族主義壓迫,尋求通過(guò)建立文化上的第三空間來(lái)重建自己的文化身份的問(wèn)題。
[Abstract]:Carlos BuLobsang is recognized as one of the most influential Asian American writers. His masterpiece, American in the Heart, is regarded as a pioneering work of Asian American literature. It is generally believed that this work by Lobsang reflects his yearning for American freedom, democracy and equality, as well as his disdain and disappointment for the Filipino culture. To some extent, the United States' cultural colonial policy towards the Philippines has indeed given the Filipino people, especially the younger generation of Filipinos, a yearning for the United States and the "American Dream". In fact, young Filipino life in the United States was full of contradictions and confusion. On the one hand, they have a deep obsession with the American dream they have been pursuing. On the other hand, they still have deep attachment to their motherland. Endless loss and confusion led them into identity crisis. The protagonist of the novel, Alrose, is the representative of these young people who are suffering from the crisis of identity. Where there is oppression, there is resistance. The long suffering of the identity crisis has prompted young people like Alrose to actively search for a new cultural space for his countrymen and himself, a cultural space that has been created by the postcolonial theorist Homey? Baba is defined as the third space. Based on the post-colonial theory, this paper explores how Lobsang, in this semi-autobiographical novel, rejected the persecution of the Filipinos under the colonial rule of the United States and the exclusion of the first generation of Filipino immigrants from the mainstream white culture in the United States. The dilemma of losing one's cultural identity is described one by one. And on the basis of careful reading of the text, this paper analyzes how the Filipino people and the first generation of Filipino immigrants suffered from American colonial rule through violent protest, recourse to law, education, writing. The establishment of trade unions and other ways to resist the colonial and racist oppression of the United States seeks to re-establish their cultural identity through the establishment of a third space in culture.
