《天堂》的主題研究

【摘要】：作為托尼·莫里森獲得諾貝爾獎后的第一部巨作，出版于1998年的《天堂》享有很高的美譽。這部小說有兩個場景：位于俄克拉荷馬州一個鮮為人知的小鎮(zhèn)魯比，以及毗鄰小鎮(zhèn)的女修道院Convent。這部小說圍繞著魯比鎮(zhèn)的居民以及修道院里女人們而展開。 本文致力于探析《天堂》的豐富主題，運用新歷史主義理論以及原型批評的理論對歷史主題、宗教主題以及母愛的主題進行了評析。與其它的歷史小說不同的是，莫里森更關(guān)注那些被官方埋沒了的聲音�！短焯谩酚涗浟巳藗兊目嚯y與艱辛。在《天堂》中，，八層石頭的黑人自我封閉，使得他們形成一種優(yōu)越感，盲目排外，在他們眼中，外來者等同于敵人。莫里森心中完美的樂園是包容性的，對外開放的。在《天堂》的結(jié)局，莫里森暗示了她心中完美的樂園—男人女人、黑人和白人之間的大融合。宗教是《天堂》又一重要主題，小說中的人物和與《圣經(jīng)》中的人物相吻合。修道院中女人們能力的匱乏，使得她們輕而易舉的被選為了替罪羊�？的菰凇短焯谩分邪缪萘四赣H的角色，她不僅為她們提供食物、溫暖、保護以及安全，而且教導(dǎo)她們修復(fù)心靈與肉體的雙重傷害。作為一個偉大的母親，康妮去愛護，去聆聽，去安慰那些被社會拋棄的女人們。
[Abstract]:Tony Morrison's first masterpiece since winning the Nobel Prize was published in 1998 with a high reputation. There are two scenes in the novel: Ruby, a little-known town in Oklahoma, and Convent., a convent adjacent to the town. The novel revolves around the inhabitants of Rubi and the women in the monasteries. This paper is devoted to exploring the rich theme of Paradise and making use of the theory of New historicism and archetypal criticism to comment on the theme of history, religion and maternal love. Unlike other historical novels, Morrison pays more attention to the voices that have been buried by the authorities. "Paradise" records suffering and hardship. In Paradise, eight-tiered black men are self-enclosed, giving them a sense of superiority and blind exclusion. In their eyes, outsiders are equal to enemies. Morrison's perfect paradise is inclusive and open to the outside world. In the finale of Paradise, Morrison hinted at the perfect paradise in her heart-the fusion of men, women, blacks and whites. Religion is another important theme in Paradise. The characters in the novel coincide with the characters in the Bible. The lack of ability of the women in the monastery made it easy for them to be chosen as scapegoats. Connie plays the role of a mother in Paradise, not only providing them with food, warmth, protection and security, but also teaching them to repair the double damage of the soul and the body. As a great mother, Connie loved, listened, and comforted women who had been abandoned by society.
