【摘要】：眾所周知，偵探小說(shuō)是通俗文學(xué)中最受歡迎的體裁之一。而阿瑟·柯南道爾則是最受歡迎的偵探小說(shuō)家之一，他因塑造了世界上最知名的虛構(gòu)偵探福爾摩斯而被譽(yù)為英國(guó)的“偵探小說(shuō)之父”。他的偵探作品經(jīng)久不衰，受到了很多人的青睞和推崇。以往對(duì)其作品的研究多側(cè)重于人物形象等文學(xué)層面，且多為直覺(jué)的主觀定性分析。本文將基于語(yǔ)料庫(kù)，以韓禮德的系統(tǒng)功能語(yǔ)法中的情態(tài)系統(tǒng)為理論支撐對(duì)其作品進(jìn)行定量和定性分析。 中篇小說(shuō)《四簽名》，作為柯南道爾的代表作之一，是專(zhuān)門(mén)建設(shè)的觀察語(yǔ)料庫(kù)。同時(shí)筆者從英國(guó)國(guó)家語(yǔ)料庫(kù)中的筆語(yǔ)中的小說(shuō)部分隨機(jī)抽取了一些文本作為參照語(yǔ)料庫(kù)，希望通過(guò)兩者的對(duì)比分析得出《四簽名》作為偵探小說(shuō)的獨(dú)特情態(tài)特征，并由此分析其傳達(dá)的人際功能。 分析的結(jié)果表明：首先，在情態(tài)表達(dá)上，兩者在評(píng)論附加語(yǔ)和表時(shí)間性的附加語(yǔ)的使用上差異不大，，但在其它的情態(tài)表達(dá)上存在著顯著性的差異。與其它小說(shuō)相比，《四簽名》傾向于多用情態(tài)助動(dòng)詞和少用其它情態(tài)表達(dá)；其次，在情態(tài)值上，兩者同樣存在巨大的差別�！端暮灻繁绕渌≌f(shuō)則多用低值和中值的情態(tài)，少用高值情態(tài)；另外，在情態(tài)取向上，兩者除了隱性客觀取向，在其他三個(gè)情態(tài)取向上都存在顯著性差異。比起其他小說(shuō)，《四簽名》多使用顯性客觀取向和隱性主觀取向，少用顯性主觀取向；最后，本文指出《四簽名》所要達(dá)到的人際功能的實(shí)現(xiàn)途徑為：表達(dá)禮貌意義,顯現(xiàn)客觀性和營(yíng)造神秘的氛圍。 本項(xiàng)研究通過(guò)定量分析和定性分析相結(jié)合來(lái)對(duì)《四簽名》進(jìn)行研究。一方面，它為以后對(duì)文學(xué)作品的情態(tài)研究提供了一個(gè)很好的范例。另一方面，《四簽名》獨(dú)特的情態(tài)特征的總結(jié)對(duì)文學(xué)教師以及從事偵探小說(shuō)寫(xiě)作的作者也有一定的參考價(jià)值。
[Abstract]:As we all know, detective stories are one of the most popular genres in popular literature. Arthur Conan Doyle is one of the most popular detective fictionalists, he is known as the father of English detective for shaping the world's most famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes. His detective works have survived and been favored and respected by many people. Previous studies of his works have focused on literary aspects such as characters, and most of them are intuitive subjective qualitative analysis. Based on the corpus, this paper makes a quantitative and qualitative analysis of Halliday's works based on the modal system of Halliday's systemic functional grammar. Novella "four signatures", as one of Conan Doyle's masterpieces, is a specially constructed observation corpus. At the same time, the author randomly selects some texts from the novel part of the British National Corpus as the reference corpus, hoping to draw the conclusion that "four signatures" is the unique modality feature of the detective novel through the comparative analysis of the two. And from this analysis of its communication interpersonal function. The results show that: first, in modal expression, there is no significant difference in the use of comment adders and temporal adders, but there are significant differences in other modal expressions. Compared with other novels, the "four-signature" tends to use more modal auxiliary verbs and less other modal expressions; secondly, there is also a great difference in the modal value between the two. In addition, in the aspect of modality orientation, there are significant differences in the other three modality orientations except the implicit objective orientation. Compared with other novels, "four signatures" uses more explicit objective orientation and implicit subjective orientation than explicit subjective orientation. Finally, this paper points out that the way to achieve interpersonal function of "four signatures" is to express politeness meaning. Show objectivity and create a mysterious atmosphere. This study combines quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis to study four signatures. On the one hand, it provides a good example for the study of modality in literary works. On the other hand, the conclusion of the unique modal features of "four signatures" also has some reference value for literature teachers and writers engaged in detective novel writing.
