廢墟與救贖:《杯酒留痕》本雅明式研究

【摘要】:當(dāng)代社會(huì)處于廢墟化的狀態(tài)之中,人們迫切需要從這些廢墟中獲得救贖。為了實(shí)現(xiàn)救贖,象征主義者努力尋求秩序、統(tǒng)一及整體,但并不成功。本雅明認(rèn)為歷史及當(dāng)下廢墟狀態(tài)的真實(shí)再現(xiàn)應(yīng)當(dāng)打破浪漫主義美學(xué)的藩籬,通過(guò)寓言的方式來(lái)實(shí)現(xiàn),這些廢墟狀態(tài)的真實(shí)再現(xiàn)所帶來(lái)的“驚顫效應(yīng)”將有助于實(shí)現(xiàn)人類(lèi)的救贖。 本論文運(yùn)用了本雅明的廢墟理論作為理論框架,探究了《杯酒留痕》中廢墟化的歷史及現(xiàn)狀。通過(guò)研究小說(shuō)中五個(gè)人物的歷史,歸納了三種類(lèi)型的個(gè)人史:僵化的個(gè)人史、流動(dòng)的個(gè)人史及偏狹的個(gè)人史,從而探討了歷史的廢墟化狀態(tài)。通過(guò)探討小說(shuō)人物當(dāng)下的生活,包括其旅行氛圍、價(jià)值觀念、物理環(huán)境及精神狀態(tài),揭露了當(dāng)下的廢墟化狀態(tài)。 本雅明認(rèn)為廢墟并不意味著人類(lèi)的終結(jié),在經(jīng)歷社會(huì)現(xiàn)實(shí)的“震驚”之后,蘊(yùn)含著救贖希望的“辯證意象”將突然出現(xiàn)。在此理論基礎(chǔ)上,本論文認(rèn)為小說(shuō)中的人物仍有可能從歷史及當(dāng)下的廢墟化狀態(tài)中獲得救贖。杰克的死亡喚醒了小說(shuō)中的人物,一些救贖要素也出現(xiàn)在了小說(shuō)人物與自我之間、人物之間、人物與社會(huì)之間及人物與自然之間的關(guān)系之中。他們開(kāi)始思考之前持有的價(jià)值觀念,從而更好地認(rèn)識(shí)自己。他們開(kāi)始思考同代人及隔代人之間的關(guān)系,并試圖改善這些人際關(guān)系。他們也開(kāi)始思考過(guò)去的社會(huì)價(jià)值及事件,并對(duì)它們有了一個(gè)更加客觀的認(rèn)識(shí)。他們開(kāi)始關(guān)注自然在生活中的角色,自然場(chǎng)景成為他們寄托希望的地方。 總之,針對(duì)《杯酒留痕》中反映出來(lái)的廢墟及救贖,本論文進(jìn)行了本雅明式的研究,探討了斯威夫特如何展現(xiàn)小說(shuō)中廢墟化的歷史及現(xiàn)狀,并揭示了一些隱藏在這些廢墟場(chǎng)景中的救贖要素,從而為斯威夫特的小說(shuō)研究提供一個(gè)嶄新的研究視角。
[Abstract]:Contemporary society is in the state of ruins, people urgently need to get redemption from these ruins. In order to achieve redemption, the symbolists sought order, unity, and unity, but failed. Benjamin believes that the real reappearance of history and the present state of ruins should break through the barriers of romanticism aesthetics and be realized by means of fables. The "tremble effect" brought by the real reappearance of these ruins will help to realize the salvation of mankind. In this paper, Benjamin's theory of ruins is used as the theoretical framework to explore the history and present situation of ruins in "glass and wine mark". By studying the history of the five characters in the novel, three types of personal history are summarized: the rigid personal history, the flowing personal history and the narrow personal history. By discussing the current life of the novel characters, including their travelling atmosphere, values, physical environment and mental state, this paper reveals the current state of ruin. Benjamin believes that ruins do not mean the end of mankind. After experiencing the shock of social reality, the dialectical image of redeeming hope will suddenly appear. On the basis of this theory, this thesis holds that the characters in the novel can still be redeemed from the historical and present state of ruin. Jack's death awakens the characters in the novel, and some redemption elements also appear in the relationship between characters and self, between characters and society, and between characters and nature. They began to think about the values they had held so that they could better understand themselves. They began to think about relationships between contemporaries and generations and tried to improve them. They also began to think about the social values and events of the past and to have a more objective understanding of them. They began to focus on the role of nature in life, and the natural scene became their place of hope. In a word, in view of the ruins and redemption reflected in the "glass and wine mark", this paper makes a study of Benjamin's style, and discusses how Swift shows the history and present situation of ruin in the novel. It also reveals some elements of redemption hidden in these ruins, thus providing a new perspective for Swift's novel study.
