【摘要】：《拉格泰姆時(shí)代》(Ragtime,1975)是美國小說家E.L.多克托羅的第四部小說也是其代表作品之一。小說借由對(duì)生活在20世紀(jì)頭十年的“白”、“黑”、“灰”三個(gè)家庭單位的描寫展現(xiàn)了一段被稱作“拉格泰姆時(shí)代”的歷史,在這一過程中多克托羅表達(dá)了其對(duì)歷史問題的思考。在《拉格泰姆時(shí)代》中作者通過音樂探討歷史,認(rèn)為歷史應(yīng)以多聲部的方式自由呈現(xiàn),面對(duì)歷史,人人都負(fù)有責(zé)任同時(shí)也享有權(quán)利,在后現(xiàn)代的語境下,應(yīng)傾聽每一個(gè)人的聲音,樹立一種多維的歷史觀念不僅是必要的,而且是必須的。 本文由三部分組成。第一章主要探討拉格泰姆這一音樂形式其聚合——離散式的音樂特質(zhì)對(duì)于小說的語言風(fēng)格,文本結(jié)構(gòu),情節(jié)展開等方面的深刻影響,以及作為全書的中心意象拉格泰姆音樂起到的隱喻歷史的作用。第二章將結(jié)合文本總結(jié)小說中眾多試圖逃離歷史掌控的人物分屬的逃離類型并指出逃離者們失敗的原因在于威權(quán)的阻撓以及更深層次的歷史秩序的規(guī)訓(xùn)。第三章關(guān)注的是歷史問題本身。長(zhǎng)期以來我們獨(dú)立理解歷史的權(quán)利被剝奪了,大一統(tǒng)的歷史觀不僅制造了歷史的迷思,而且釀成巨大災(zāi)難,因此有必要強(qiáng)調(diào)一種多維的歷史觀以期達(dá)成人與歷史的動(dòng)態(tài)平衡關(guān)系,從而實(shí)現(xiàn)人在歷史中自由的最大化。
[Abstract]:Ragtime (1975) is an American novelist E. Doctorow's fourth novel is also one of its representative works. By describing the three family units that lived in the first decade of the 20th century, "White", "Black" and "Grey", the novel reveals a history known as the "Lagtam era." In this process, Doctorow expressed his thoughts on historical issues. In "Lagerham Age", the author explores history through music, and holds that history should be presented freely in a multi-voice manner. In the face of history, everyone has the responsibility and the right, in the post-modern context. It is not only necessary, but also necessary, to listen to everyone and to establish a multi-dimensional concept of history. This paper consists of three parts. In the first chapter, the author mainly discusses the profound influence of Ragtam's agglomeration and discrete musical characteristics on the language style, text structure and plot development of the novel. And as the central image of the book, Ragtime music plays the role of metaphorical history. The second chapter summarizes the escape types of many characters who try to escape the historical control in the novel and points out that the failure of the escapees is due to the obstruction of authoritarianism and the discipline of the deeper historical order. The third chapter focuses on the history itself. For a long time we have been deprived of our right to understand history independently, and a unified view of history has not only created a myth of history, but has also led to great disasters. Therefore, it is necessary to emphasize a multidimensional view of history in order to achieve the dynamic balance between man and history, so as to maximize human freedom in history.
