《保佑我,烏勒蒂瑪》成長主題研究

【摘要】:魯?shù)婪颉ぐ⒓{亞(1937-)是一位杰出的小說家、劇作家和詩人,被譽為“奇卡諾文學(xué)的教父”。他的第一部小說《保佑我,烏勒蒂瑪》(1972)被公認為奇卡諾文學(xué)經(jīng)典作品之一,為其贏得了國際聲譽。阿納亞在小說創(chuàng)作中使用神話和民間傳說,為讀者生動地展現(xiàn)了奇卡諾人的歷史和文化。作為奇卡諾文學(xué)的開山之作,《保佑我,烏勒蒂瑪》是奇卡諾文學(xué)史上的重要作品,也是阿納亞最成功的作品。但是國內(nèi)近幾年才開始關(guān)注這部小說,評論文章也僅有幾篇。對這部小說的研究是對奇卡諾文學(xué)研究的豐富,幫助讀者更深入地了解和認識這個族群及其文學(xué)。小說在思想內(nèi)容、藝術(shù)特色、社會文化價值等方面都具有較高的研究價值。通過對這部作品的研究,讀者可以更深入地了解墨西哥裔美國人在多元文化背景下的生存狀態(tài)。 自《保佑我,烏勒蒂瑪》問世以來,國外專家學(xué)者對這部小說進行了多角度的、深入的研究。他們大多從神話傳說、人物形象、文化視角、二元對立沖突、敘事技巧、體裁等方面進行研究。國內(nèi)對這部小說的研究還很少。僅有的四篇關(guān)于小說的評論文章也是近幾年才出現(xiàn)。這些文章主要是從文化沖突與融合、身份建構(gòu)、普世美學(xué)以及社會歷史語境等方面進行分析解讀。與國外相比,國內(nèi)對這部小說的研究還不夠全面和深入。國內(nèi)文學(xué)批評界還沒有人專門就《保佑我,烏勒蒂瑪》的成長主題進行研究。 國內(nèi)把成長小說作為一種獨特的文學(xué)樣式進行研究還是近十年來才興起的研究方向。中國學(xué)者對英美文學(xué)作品中成長小說的解讀多側(cè)重于反映白人青少年在不同歷史文化背景下的迷惘與成長,且多是從敘事結(jié)構(gòu)、文化沖突、女性主義等視角進行解讀。雖然國內(nèi)對少數(shù)族裔文學(xué)作品中的成長主題研究已有不少,但主要集中在黑人文學(xué)和華裔文學(xué)中,對奇卡諾文學(xué)中成長主題的研究比較少。 《保佑我,烏勒蒂瑪》作為奇卡諾文學(xué)的代表作之一,是一部典型的成長小說。目前國內(nèi)還沒有文章探討這部小說的成長主題。除了探討道德方面的成長,本文還從后殖民和生態(tài)角度對小說進行成長主題研究,具有一定的新意。拓寬了成長小說的研究內(nèi)容,豐富了國內(nèi)成長小說研究。本文以新的視角對這部小說進行解讀,在一定程度上豐富和完善了對阿納亞作品的研究。 本文論述了美國多元文化背景下奇卡諾男孩安東尼奧在成長過程中的道德成長、對人與自然的關(guān)系的認識和文化身份的建構(gòu)。小說以第一人稱講述了20世紀40年代生活在美國新墨西哥州瓜達盧佩鎮(zhèn)的主人公安東尼奧6歲到8歲間的成長經(jīng)歷。隨著經(jīng)歷的增加,安東尼奧對自己和世界有了更深的理解。他看到了戰(zhàn)爭會給人帶來難以愈合的精神創(chuàng)傷,看到了人的非理性和暴力以及正義的難以維護。他的思想未被天主教所控制,對宗教信仰形成了自己的看法。他開始認識到“邪惡”的復(fù)雜性。所謂的“邪惡”大多源自于人們的無知和偏見。他相信正義終將戰(zhàn)勝邪惡,人們應(yīng)該對邪惡有一顆寬容的心。死亡并不可怕,它是生命大循環(huán)的一部分。烏勒蒂瑪源自印第安文化的萬物有靈論讓安東尼奧對自然有了新的認識:人與自然是平等的關(guān)系,人應(yīng)該尊重自然。父親讓他認識到了人與自然的和諧關(guān)系的重要性。他為父親哀悼被取代的傳統(tǒng)生活方式,看到了人們對自然的疏離。他認識到奇卡諾文化內(nèi)部存在矛盾的同時,奇卡諾文化與被美國主流文化之間也存在著矛盾,奇卡諾文化正在逐漸被主流文化同化。西班牙語的使用受到限制;作為奇卡諾文化的組成部分,印第安文化被壓制;民間藥醫(yī)的力量不被承認。安東尼奧對正統(tǒng)天主教產(chǎn)生了困惑,上帝善妒、心胸狹窄,并且否定其他神靈的存在。他認識到上帝不是唯一的信仰,信仰可以是多元的,異教神金鯉開始成為他新信仰的一部分。安東尼奧努力適應(yīng)社會的變化,接受和融合了不同的文化,構(gòu)建了自己雜糅的文化身份。 論文由六個部分組成:第一章是介紹魯?shù)婪颉ぐ⒓{亞、小說情節(jié)、研究現(xiàn)狀、成長小說理論、研究意義和論文結(jié)構(gòu)。第二章探討成長小說的特點,并就《保佑我,烏勒蒂瑪》中的自傳色彩、成長主題、情節(jié)模式和引路人四個方面對小說進行分析。第三章分析主人公安東尼奧道德方面的成長。安東尼奧對戰(zhàn)爭、正義、死亡、邪惡、生活等都有了更深入的理解。第四章探討安東尼奧在烏勒蒂瑪和父親的影響下所形成的對人與自然關(guān)系的認識。第五章研究安東尼奧文化身份的建構(gòu)。他在思考奇卡諾文化內(nèi)部沖突、奇卡諾文化和主流文化之間的沖突、宗教沖突的過程中構(gòu)建了新的文化身份。第六章是結(jié)論,對論文的主要觀點進行了總結(jié)。
[Abstract]:Rudolf Anaya (1937-) is an outstanding novelist, playwright and poet, known as the "odd Kano literature Godfather".
