【摘要】：薇拉·凱瑟(1873-1947)是美國二十世紀最偉大的小說家之一,因其對美國西部拓荒生活飽含深情的描寫而聲名遠揚享譽文學界。在她眾多的作品中,最具影響力的當屬其“拓荒三部曲”,即《啊!拓荒者》、《云雀之歌》和《我的安東尼亞》三部歌頌拓荒者勤勞、堅毅的小說。 凱瑟的作品思想性較強,打破了傳統(tǒng)的女性形象,塑造了一系列獨立堅強、勇于挑戰(zhàn)權(quán)威和陳舊觀念的角色。評論家歷來將其視為最經(jīng)典的女性主義作品。近十年來,對她的作品研究出現(xiàn)了以生態(tài)主義、生態(tài)女性主義為切入點的趨勢。迄今為止,根據(jù)CNKI數(shù)據(jù)庫的統(tǒng)計,將近有一百篇從不同角度研究解讀這篇小說的論文。其中只有四篇對涉及到這篇小說的成長主題,主要從女性主義的視角來探討女性角色的成長過程,但是都沒有再進一步去進行社會實踐意義方面的思考。 本文對《我的安東尼亞》中的成長、自我實現(xiàn)主題的研究則另辟蹊徑,采用人本主義心理學家馬斯洛的需要層次理論來分析和評價小說中典型人物的成長和發(fā)展。馬斯洛的理論認為,人的成長和五個層次的需要滿足是并行的、互相影響的,其中自我實現(xiàn)理論對人的成長和追求人生的終極意義有很現(xiàn)實的啟發(fā)意義。由此,本文借助馬斯洛需要層次理論對這部作品中主人公的成長與自我實現(xiàn)的過程進行了詳細的解讀,最后得出了對現(xiàn)代社會人的成長和自我實現(xiàn)的一些啟示：人在面臨紛繁復(fù)雜的內(nèi)心與外界困擾時應(yīng)當認清自己的合理需要,認清自己的努力方向并有意識地規(guī)劃自己的成長,這樣才能有效地實現(xiàn)自我價值去收獲人生的幸福。
[Abstract]:Vera Cather (1873-1947) is one of the greatest American novelists of the twentieth century, and is well known in the literary world for her affectionate portrayal of the pioneering life of the Western United States. The most influential is its "frontier trilogy," or "ah!" Pioneer, Song of the lark, and my Antonia, three novels praising the Pioneers'industry and fortitude. Cather's works have a strong ideological content, breaking the traditional female image, creating a series of independent and strong characters who dare to challenge authority and stereotypes. Critics have always regarded it as the most classical feminist work. So far, according to the statistics of CNKI database, there has been a tendency to focus on ecologism and eco-feminism. There are nearly a hundred papers that study and interpret the novel from different angles. Of these, only four are related to the growth theme of the novel, mainly from the perspective of feminism. But there is no further thinking about the meaning of social practice. In this paper, the study of the theme of self-actualization in my Antonia is a new way. The theory of the hierarchy of needs of the humanist psychologist Maslow is used to analyze and evaluate the growth and development of typical characters in the novel. Maslow's theory holds that the growth of human beings and the satisfaction of needs of five levels are parallel and influence each other. Among them, the theory of self-realization has practical enlightening significance for the growth of human beings and the pursuit of the ultimate meaning of life. With the help of Maslow's theory of hierarchy of needs, this paper interprets in detail the process of the protagonist's growth and self-realization in this novel. Finally, some revelations to the growth and self-realization of people in modern society are obtained: people should recognize their reasonable needs, recognize their own direction of effort and consciously plan their own growth when they are confronted with numerous and complicated inner and external troubles. Only in this way can we effectively realize our self-worth and reap the happiness of life.
