【摘要】：蕾切爾·霍蘭德的《小說倫理學:晚期維多利亞小說中的敘事好客》以列維納斯的好客倫理學為研究視角,重點分析了幾部英國晚期維多利亞現(xiàn)實主義小說在主題和形式上所表現(xiàn)出的向現(xiàn)代主義過渡的特征,試圖從倫理批評的角度對這種轉變做出解釋�；籼m德認為,隨著英國社會在19世紀末陷入重重危機,以同情為基礎的現(xiàn)實主義小說倫理觀逐漸解體,并被現(xiàn)代主義的好客倫理觀所取代。后者承認知識的限度,并尊重現(xiàn)實的不確定性。不同的小說倫理觀產生了不同的敘事主題和形式,折射出作家在小說如何發(fā)揮倫理功能這個問題上的思考。本書對于我們重新認識現(xiàn)實主義和現(xiàn)代主義小說的倫理取向、以及小說的倫理責任等問題均有很好的啟發(fā)。
[Abstract]:Holland, Rachel. "Fiction Ethics: narrative hospitality in late Victorian novels." from the perspective of Levinas' hospitality ethics. This paper analyzes the characteristics of the transition to modernism in the theme and form of several late British Victorian realistic novels, and tries to explain this change from the angle of ethical criticism. With the British society in crisis at the end of 19th century, the realistic novel ethics based on sympathy gradually disintegrated and was replaced by the hospitality ethics of modernism, which acknowledged the limits of knowledge. And respect for the uncertainty of reality. Different novel ethics have different narrative themes and forms. This book is very instructive for us to re-understand the ethical orientation of realistic and modernist novels, as well as the ethical responsibility of novels.
