【摘要】：本論文研究的焦點為亨利·詹姆斯小說《螺絲在擰緊》中的主人公：女教師。本文將女教師的角色置于維多利亞時期的大背景中,作為一類人來進行分析研究,運用文化研究和心理分析理論集中研究女教師的神經(jīng)癥,具體分析女教師神經(jīng)癥表現(xiàn)出的癥狀,產(chǎn)生的原因,以及造成的后果。 前言部分簡單介紹了亨利·詹姆斯及其作品《螺絲在擰緊》在美國文學史上的地位和意義,并對該小說的五個版本進行了梳理；對自小說發(fā)表以來對該小說的評價進行了綜述,并對整篇論文的框架進行了介紹。 該論文正文部分分為三章。第一章具體分析女教師神經(jīng)癥的癥狀。本章首先介紹神經(jīng)癥的定義,通過對定義的分析證明了女教師的各種癥狀屬于典型的神經(jīng)癥,具體表現(xiàn)為女教師把對兩個孩子的不正常情感的作為對男主人欲望的替代物和把鬼魂作為掩蓋內(nèi)心真正欲望的防御機制。 第二章把對女教師的研究置于維多利亞時期的父權(quán)社會的大背景中,通過文化研究分析癥狀產(chǎn)生的原因。一方面,女教師作為一名維多利亞時期的受過教育的女性,她希望成為“家里的天使”。另一方面,她對男主人的愛慕致使她做出各種行為以吸引男主人的注意；兩個無辜的孩子成為她吸引男主人注意的工具。根據(jù)弗洛伊德心理分析的理論,女教師的癥狀一方面反映出她渴望性的滿足,另一方面又想抵制性。因此女教師神經(jīng)癥的根本原因在維多利亞時期的父權(quán)社會,直接原因在于女教師的個人經(jīng)歷包括家庭背景和她對男主人的單戀。 第三章對女教師神經(jīng)癥造成的后果進行了分析,對后果的真實性提出了質(zhì)疑。女教師自己作為維多利亞父權(quán)社會下的受害者,同時也是兩個小孩的施害者。在女教師長期控制下,兩個孩子開始反抗,激怒女教師,使她失去理智并最終由受害者轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)槭┖φ�。兩個孩子被強迫承認鬼魂的存在以證明女教師自己的精神正常,最終導(dǎo)致女孩的幾近瘋狂和男孩的死亡。 本論文結(jié)論部分總結(jié)得出維多利亞時期非人性的社會習俗不僅殘害了《螺絲在擰緊》中的女教師,并且將她轉(zhuǎn)變成為了一名施害者,造成了更大的悲劇。由此得出結(jié)論《螺絲在擰緊》存在多種解讀,但是批判維多利亞時期非人性的社會習俗無疑為小說的目的之一。
[Abstract]:The focus of this thesis is Henry James's novel < > of the screw in the protagonist: female teachers. The background of female teachers' role in Vitoria period, as a kind of person to do analysis by means of cultural studies and psychological analysis theory focuses on the female teachers neurosis, specific analysis of female teachers nervous disease symptoms, causes, and consequences.
The introduction part introduces the status and significance of Henry James and his works < > of the screw in the history of American literature, and the five version of the novel has combed; on Evaluation of the novel since its publication is reviewed, and the framework of the whole thesis are introduced.
This paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter analyzes the female teachers in neurotic symptoms. This chapter first introduces the definition of neurosis, through the analysis of the definition of the proof of various symptoms of female teachers is a typical neurosis, the specific performance of female teachers as of two children abnormal emotional substitution on the host and the ghost of desire as a defense mechanism to hide real desire.
The second chapter of the research background of female teachers in Vitoria during the period of the patriarchal society, analysis of the causes of symptoms produced by cultural studies. On the one hand, as an educated in Vitoria female female teachers, she hopes to become "the angel in the house". On the other hand, she for the master of love led her to make all kinds of behavior in order to attract the master's attention; two children become attracted to her host attention tool. According to Freud psychological analysis theory, the symptom of female teachers on one hand reflects her desire for sexual gratification, on the other hand, want to resist. Therefore, the root cause of neurosis in female teachers the Vitoria period of the patriarchal society, the direct reason is the female teachers' personal experience including family background and her master of unrequited love.
The third chapter on the consequences of female teachers neurosis were analyzed, questioned the authenticity of the consequences. The female teachers themselves as victims of the Vitoria patriarchal society, but also the two child victimizers. Long term under the control of female teachers, two of them started to revolt, provoking female teachers, so she lost reason and ultimately by the victims into victimizers. Two children were forced to admit the existence of the ghost to prove their spirit of female teachers in normal, eventually leading to the crazy girl and boy's death.
The conclusion part summarizes the human nature in the period of Vitoria female teachers not only destroyed the social customs of the screw in the < >, and she will become a victimizer, caused a greater tragedy. Conclusion there are a variety of interpretation in < > to tighten the screws, but is one of the critical period to Vitoria non human social customs undoubtedly novels.
