【摘要】：《夜色溫柔》是菲茨杰拉德最為雄心勃勃的小說,自出版問世以來受到了評(píng)論界的廣泛關(guān)注,產(chǎn)生了大量的研究成果。但是,現(xiàn)有的絕大數(shù)研究僅著眼于主人公迪克或其妻尼科爾,學(xué)者們極少注意羅斯瑪麗,更不用說其母斯皮爾斯太太對(duì)其的影響。至于針對(duì)小說中父輩的力量,即書中三主人公的母親或者父親對(duì)他們的性格形成和人生發(fā)展的研究,從本文作者的調(diào)查來看,目前還未出現(xiàn)。 因此,本文試圖通過文本細(xì)讀揭露《夜色溫柔》中父輩的力量,具體來說即,斯皮爾斯太太對(duì)女兒羅斯瑪麗,沃倫先生對(duì)女兒尼科爾,戴弗先生對(duì)兒子迪克的影響。相應(yīng)地,這三對(duì)人物關(guān)系構(gòu)成了正文的三個(gè)章節(jié)。 第一章集中探討羅斯瑪麗被母親斯皮爾斯太太男性化的過程。第一節(jié)先是從親附理論的角度出發(fā),揭示了羅斯瑪麗對(duì)母親的過分依戀,接著根據(jù)她們的個(gè)人經(jīng)歷并結(jié)合當(dāng)時(shí)的時(shí)代背景分析了其原因。羅斯瑪麗在成長過程中被母親灌輸了工作的理念,加上她對(duì)母親的言聽計(jì)從,使得最終被男性化。她的逐漸男性化是通過工作和戀愛兩方面體現(xiàn)的,從斯皮爾斯太太的角度來看則是她通過對(duì)女兒工作和戀愛的操縱最終實(shí)現(xiàn)了對(duì)其的男性化。這也是本章第二節(jié)和第三節(jié)分別所論證的內(nèi)容。 第二章重點(diǎn)揭示沃倫先生對(duì)女兒尼科爾的性虐待對(duì)她造成的災(zāi)難性的影響。本章第一節(jié)運(yùn)用弗洛伊德的相關(guān)理論詳細(xì)解釋分析了這對(duì)父女的亂倫關(guān)系。除了性虐待,本文作者發(fā)現(xiàn),尼科爾對(duì)父親經(jīng)濟(jì)上的依賴也是其精神始終不得好轉(zhuǎn)的另一重要原因,這一點(diǎn)在第二節(jié)中進(jìn)行了分析。精神上無法擺脫父親的陰影,尼科爾成了愛無能,無法與人進(jìn)行情感上的交流,而經(jīng)濟(jì)上又與父親難以割舍,總是有意或無意地憑借物質(zhì)財(cái)富來維系友情、愛情和親情,更加劇了她心理的不健康狀態(tài),這些都將在第三節(jié)進(jìn)行詮釋。 第三章旨在研究被父親理想化了的迪克的人生發(fā)展軌跡。他娶尼科爾的雙重動(dòng)機(jī),他被尼科爾反移情,甚至他最后的極速墮落過程都體現(xiàn)了他的理想化。這三點(diǎn)分別在本章前三節(jié)進(jìn)行了呈現(xiàn)。第四節(jié)從傳記學(xué)角度出發(fā),探索了菲茨杰拉德的個(gè)人家庭背景和成長環(huán)境,以及他與患精神病的妻子澤爾達(dá)之間的關(guān)系,從而得出迪克其實(shí)就是菲茨杰拉德個(gè)人的寫照。不過菲茨杰拉德并不是簡單的照搬,他在個(gè)人經(jīng)歷的基礎(chǔ)上對(duì)迪克進(jìn)行了深化復(fù)雜化,從而使其更具文學(xué)性和戲劇性。
[Abstract]:The Night Tender is Fitzgerald's most ambitious novel, which has been widely concerned by critics since it was published, and has produced a lot of research results. Most of the existing studies focus only on Dick or his wife Nicole, with little attention paid by scholars to Rosemary, let alone the influence of his mother, Mrs. Spears, on the power of his father's generation in the novel. That is, the mother or father of the three protagonists in the study of their personality formation and life development, from the author's investigation, has not yet appeared. Therefore, this paper attempts to expose the power of the fathers in the Night Tender through a close reading of the text, specifically, Mrs. Spears to her daughter Rosemary and Mr. Warren to her daughter Nicole. Mr. Deaver's influence on his son Dick. Accordingly, these three relationships form three chapters of the text. The first chapter focuses on the process of Rosemary being masculine by her mother Mrs. Spears. The first section reveals Rosemary's excessive attachment to her mother from the perspective of the theory of attachment. Then the reasons were analyzed according to their personal experience and the background of the time. Rosemary was raised by her mother to indoctrinate the concept of work, plus her mother's obedience. Her gradual masculinity is reflected in both work and love. From Mrs. Spears' point of view, it is through her manipulation of her daughter's work and love that she has finally achieved the masculinity of her daughter, which is also the argument in the second and third sections of this chapter, respectively. The second chapter focuses on the disastrous impact of Warren's sexual abuse on his daughter Nicole. The first section of this chapter uses Freud's theory to explain and analyze the incest relationship between father and daughter in detail. Mistreatment. The author of this paper finds that Nicole's economic dependence on his father is another important reason why his spirit can never be improved, which is analyzed in the second section. Mentally, he cannot get rid of the shadow of his father. Nicole became incompetent in love, unable to communicate emotionally with people, and financially difficult to give up with his father, always intentionally or unintentionally relying on material wealth to maintain friendship, love and family. Further exacerbated her psychological ill-health, these will be interpreted in the third section. The third chapter aims to study the life course of Dick who was idealized by his father. He married Nicole's double motive and he was transited by Nicole. Even his last extreme depravity reflects his idealization. These three points are presented in the first three sections of this chapter. Section 4th starts from a biographical point of view. It explores Fitzgerald's personal family background and upbringing environment, as well as his relationship with his mentally ill wife, Zelda. But Fitzgerald is not a simple copy of Dick on the basis of his personal experience to deepen the complexity of Dick. In order to make it more literary and dramatic.
