【摘要】：杰西卡·海格多恩是著名的當(dāng)代美國菲律賓裔作家之一�！稅鄣膹�(qiáng)盜》是她的第二部小說,講述的是二十世紀(jì)七十年代菲律賓裔里維拉一家移民美國的故事。這部小說憑借突破傳統(tǒng)的敘事模式和自成一派的風(fēng)格獲得愛爾蘭時(shí)報(bào)世界小說提名獎(jiǎng)。 本文運(yùn)用斯圖亞特·霍爾的文化身份理論,探討《愛的強(qiáng)盜》中女主角如何建構(gòu)既“存在”又“生成”的流動(dòng)文化身份。本文由六個(gè)部分組成。 第一章為引言,介紹杰西卡·海格多恩及其作品,對(duì)《愛的強(qiáng)盜》進(jìn)行介紹和評(píng)論。 第二章主要介紹文化身份的概念和斯圖亞特·霍爾的文化身份理論�；魻栒J(rèn)為文化身份是在“存在”中“變化”的。文化身份的建構(gòu)是流動(dòng)和變化的,而不是穩(wěn)定不變的。 第三章分析里維拉一家的“存在”,也就是他們的菲律賓裔身份。包括美國文化對(duì)菲律賓裔的影響；傳統(tǒng)的菲律賓文化在里維拉一家的體現(xiàn)。 第四章分析女主角文化身份的建構(gòu)過程。一開始移民到美國,女主角積極追求美國身份,拋棄她的菲律賓名字,改成美國味十足的名字,并追求代表美國文化的搖滾樂。然而她像所有少數(shù)族裔一樣陷入文化身份認(rèn)同的困境中,她決定抵制家鄉(xiāng)語和母親,仍然被美國主流社會(huì)雙重邊緣化。最終她選擇回歸菲律賓文化。 第五章分析女主角“生成”流動(dòng)文化身份,從而建構(gòu)起菲律賓文化與美國文化融合的身份屬性。在多元文化的美國,美國菲裔既不是完全的菲律賓人,也不是完全的美國人,而是“菲”中有“美”,“美”中有“菲”的融合。 第六章為結(jié)論。作者認(rèn)為,當(dāng)代菲裔美國人在吸收美國新文化的同時(shí)應(yīng)當(dāng)尊重母文化,從而建立不同文化間的橋梁。流動(dòng)性的文化身份構(gòu)建,為菲裔以及少數(shù)族裔在美國的身份探尋和平衡不同文化尋找到了有效的途徑。
[Abstract]:Jessica Hagrid Dorne is one of the most famous contemporary Filipino writers in the United States. Robber of Love is her second novel. In 1970s, the Filipino Rivera family immigrated to the United States. The novel won the Irish Times World Fiction nomination Award for breaking through traditional narrative patterns and styling itself. This paper uses Stuart Hall's theory of cultural identity to explore how the heroine in the Bandit of Love constructs a mobile cultural identity that is both "present" and "generated". This paper consists of six parts. The first chapter is an introduction to Jesica Hagrid Dorne and his work, introducing and commenting on the Bandit of Love. The second chapter mainly introduces the concept of cultural identity and Stuart Hall's theory of cultural identity. Hall believes that cultural identity is "changed" in "being". The construction of cultural identity is flowing and changing. Not stable. The third chapter analyzes the "existence" of the Riveras, that is, their Filipino identity, including the influence of American culture on Filipinos, and the embodiment of the traditional Filipino culture in the Rivera family. Chapter 4th analyzes the process of constructing the cultural identity of the heroine. The heroine actively pursues the American identity and abandons her Filipino name and changes it to the American name. And the pursuit of rock music, which represents American culture. However, like all ethnic minorities, she fell into the dilemma of cultural identity, and she decided to boycott her native language and mother. Still double marginalized by mainstream American society, she chose to return to Filipino culture. Chapter 5th analyzes the female protagonist's "generation" of mobile cultural identity, thus constructing the identity attribute of the fusion of Filipino culture and American culture. In multicultural America, Filipino-American people are neither completely Filipino. Nor is it a complete American, but there is beauty in the Philippines and an amalgamation of the Philippines in the beauty. Chapter 6th is the conclusion. The author holds that contemporary Filipino Americans should respect their mother culture while absorbing the new American culture, thus establishing a bridge between different cultures. Find an effective way to find and balance different cultures for Filipinos and minorities in the United States.
