【摘要】:由于美國(guó)多元文化的倡導(dǎo)和華裔美國(guó)作家的不懈耕耘,華裔美國(guó)文學(xué)在過去三十年間異軍突起,成為美國(guó)文學(xué)的重要組成部分。本文關(guān)注的是新生代華裔美國(guó)作家伍慧明和她的處女作《骨》(1993),此書一經(jīng)問世便引起巨大轟動(dòng),獲得評(píng)論界和讀者的一致贊譽(yù)。由于《骨》的巨大成功,伍慧明成為繼湯亭亭,趙健秀,譚恩美之后當(dāng)代華裔美國(guó)文壇上悄然升起的一顆璀璨新星。 雖然《骨》在國(guó)內(nèi)外引起了廣泛好評(píng),,但多數(shù)評(píng)論家和讀者對(duì)其的關(guān)注,仍主要局限于一部個(gè)人自傳,一部再現(xiàn)華人移民真實(shí)生活和悲慘經(jīng)歷的自傳,而鮮有人對(duì)文學(xué)文本內(nèi)部的深層內(nèi)涵進(jìn)行深入的剖析。伍慧明從個(gè)人經(jīng)歷出發(fā),運(yùn)用象征主義的藝術(shù)手法,把家庭問題提升到歷史文化的層面,使之成為一部將個(gè)人、家庭及民族的歷史編制在一起的民族寓言。 在離散文學(xué)文本中,對(duì)自我身份和民族文化身份的求索無疑是作品關(guān)注的重要主題。《骨》中金山苦力梁爺爺懷揣“落葉歸根”的夙愿遠(yuǎn)涉重洋來到美國(guó)以求經(jīng)濟(jì)上的成功,而他的遺骨卻像幽靈一樣永久地漂泊在了異國(guó)他鄉(xiāng)。利昂和杜爾西執(zhí)著地追逐著虛幻的美國(guó)夢(mèng)以求“落地生根”,卻徹底淪為了生活的奴仆。處于雙重文化背景之中的ABC,不得不在兩個(gè)世界之間掙扎,為尋求歸屬感進(jìn)行艱辛的探索。作為“失根群組”代表的安娜,徘徊于兩種文化之中不能自拔,不得不以自殺的方式結(jié)束自己的生命;作為“斬草除根”代表的尼娜則采取完全同化的策略以尋求異域他鄉(xiāng)的歸屬感,卻再次落入精神孤寂的輪回之中;作為“尋根問祖”代表的萊拉和梅森最終在中美兩種文化之間找到了“第三空間”,成功建立了華裔美國(guó)人身份。 因而本文試圖從象征主義角度對(duì)文本進(jìn)行系統(tǒng)地分析,從而賦予伍慧明筆下的家庭故事重要的歷史文化內(nèi)涵:《骨》不僅僅是一部表現(xiàn)個(gè)人和家庭生活經(jīng)歷的自傳文本,也是重寫百年來被主流社會(huì)排斥至邊緣的華裔歷史文本,尋求身份認(rèn)同的心路歷程。
[Abstract]:Due to the American pluralistic culture and advocate of the Chinese American writers unremitting hard work, the Chinese American Literature in the past thirty years to become the A new force suddenly rises., an important part of American literature. This paper is concerned with the new generation of Chinese American writer Wu Huiming and her debut < > (1993), the bone will come out to a big stir, won the critics and the reader's consistent praise. Due to great success of < > Wu Huiming became the bone, Kingston, Zhao Jianxiu, Amy Tan after the contemporary Chinese American literature rises a shining star.
Although < > bone at home and abroad has aroused wide acclaim, but most of the critics and the readers attention is still mainly confined to an autobiography, a reproduction of Chinese immigrants in real life and tragic experiences of the autobiography, but few people deep connotation of literary text inside deeply. Starting from the personal experience of Wu Huiming the use of symbolism, art, family problems to a historical and cultural level, to become a personal, family and national history in the preparation of National Fable together.
In the discrete literary texts, the pursuit of self identity and national cultural identity is undoubtedly an important theme. The works focus on bone > Jinshan toil Grandpa Liang "roots" with the long cherished wish came to the United States to travel across the ocean economic success, and his remains are like a ghost wandering in a foreign country permanently Leon and Dulce. Persistent pursuit of illusory American dream in order to "air plant", is completely reduced to life. In the slave dual cultural background of the ABC, between the two world had to struggle, to seek a sense of belonging exploration difficult. As "Anna lost group" on behalf of the two kinds of culture inextricably bogged down in hovering that had to end their lives in Dutch act manner; "extermination" as the representative of the Nina adopts complete assimilation strategy to seek the alien sense of belonging, but Lonely spirit once again fall into samsara; as xungenwenzu represents Lyra and Mason finally found a "third space" between two kinds of culture, successfully established the Chinese American identity.
This paper attempts to conduct a systematic analysis of the text from the perspective of symbolism, giving Wu Huiming's family history and culture connotation of the story: < > important bone is not only a manifestation of personal and family life is the autobiographical text, rewrite hundreds of years by Chinese historical text to the edge of the mainstream of social exclusion, the mentality of pursuing identity agree.
