王安憶長篇著作《長恨歌》2008年英譯后在西方世界引起了巨大反響。譯作的銜接手段在提高譯文可讀性方向起了重要作用。本論文試圖探討如下三個問題:《長恨歌》及其英譯本對于銜接手段的運用有哪些異同?這些異同有什么特征或規(guī)律?對于不符合一般規(guī)律的情況,譯者的處理是否同樣能夠達到原文所產(chǎn)生的效果?本研究在韓禮德和哈桑語篇銜接理論的指導下,運用文獻綜述法,比較歸納法,并采用定量和定性相結合的方式對王安憶《長恨歌》及其英譯本中銜接手段的使用進行全方位的比較研究。研究分為語法銜接和詞匯銜接兩大類,前者包含照應、替代、省略和連接四種銜接手段,后者包含復現(xiàn)和搭配兩種銜接手段。本文通過統(tǒng)計和分析漢英文本中各銜接手段的頻率和使用的傾向,揭示各銜接手段在漢英文本中各自的總體分布規(guī)律,將所呈現(xiàn)規(guī)律一一舉例分析說明。對少數(shù)銜接手段在漢英文本中的不匹配現(xiàn)象著重進行對比研究和定性分析,以精準把握譯者對銜接手段處理的方式能否成功達到原文所產(chǎn)生的效果。研究結果顯示,《長恨歌》漢英文本中銜接手段的使用情況存在以下三種現(xiàn)象:其一,許多銜接手段在漢英文本中的使用情況及其產(chǎn)生的效果幾乎完全一致。它們包括:省略中的小句性省略、連接中...
