索因卡與貝克特的荒誕戲劇對比研究 ————以《路》和《等待戈多》為例

在世界劇壇上,沃爾·索因卡和塞繆爾·貝克特都占據(jù)著不可動搖的地位。前者是當(dāng)代尼日利亞最負(fù)盛名的劇作家,并于1986年獲得諾貝爾文學(xué)獎。后者是20世紀(jì)英美文學(xué)最具影響的小說和戲劇家之一,于1969年獲得諾貝爾文學(xué)獎。作為在戲劇創(chuàng)作方面造詣頗深的劇作家,兩人在各自代表作《路》和《等待戈多》的創(chuàng)作中存在不少異同。作為一名經(jīng)受過西方文明洗禮的非洲劇作家,索因卡的創(chuàng)作深受西方文明的影響,其代表作《路》中不乏西方荒誕劇式的對白與獨白,晦澀難懂;戲劇情節(jié)和場景奇圖怪誕。被稱為荒誕派戲劇奠基人之一的貝克特,其代表作《等待戈多》也處處充斥著荒誕劇的元素,他排斥戲劇情節(jié)和結(jié)構(gòu),偏好稀奇古怪的舞臺形象和顛三倒四的戲劇語言。以此來看,索因卡的《路》和貝克特的《等待戈多》一樣,都屬于折射出“荒誕劇”的影子。但對兩部名作的進(jìn)一步分析證明,索因卡在《路》中的創(chuàng)作哲學(xué)基礎(chǔ)以及創(chuàng)作手法與《等待戈多》其實存在著很大的差異。此前,不少研究者曾分別對索因卡和貝克特的作品進(jìn)行了多方面、深入的研究,也取得了相當(dāng)豐富的研究成果。但是卻鮮少有人選取二者的荒誕戲劇進(jìn)行對比研究。因此,將索因卡的《路》和貝克特的《等待戈多》進(jìn)行對比分析,...
