文化過濾在跨文化翻譯中不可避免。源文本只有經(jīng)過目的語文化的過濾才能進(jìn)入目的語文學(xué)體系。安德烈·勒菲弗爾提出改寫理論,認(rèn)為翻譯是對文化的改寫,并歸納出制控翻譯活動的三種因素,即意識形態(tài)、詩學(xué)和贊助人。本研究通過案例分析和中英翻譯對比,分別從意識形態(tài)、詩學(xué)和贊助人角度探究《玩的就是心跳》英譯本中,文化過濾產(chǎn)生的原因,表現(xiàn)和對譯本的影響。本研究發(fā)現(xiàn),意識形態(tài)影響下的文化過濾表現(xiàn)在譯者對小說主題的過濾以及對文本中意識形態(tài)相關(guān)內(nèi)容的改寫。小說中的身份尋求、英雄主義和幽默的主題通過了目的語文化的過濾,而政治相關(guān)詞匯則部分或完全被過濾。詩學(xué)影響下的文化過濾體現(xiàn)在目標(biāo)文化的主流詩學(xué)對于小說敘述結(jié)構(gòu)、句法、北京方言和文化負(fù)載詞的過濾,其中譯者調(diào)整了原文敘述視角,改寫了中文句法,過濾了北京方言和文化負(fù)載詞背后的文化意蘊。贊助人影響下的文化過濾表現(xiàn)在出版商,編輯和媒體出于經(jīng)濟(jì)和地位因素影響源文本的選擇和翻譯。其中出版社出于利益追求,編輯出于目標(biāo)讀者期待以及媒體通過書評和報告影響翻譯活動。在《玩的就是心跳》的翻譯過程中,在目的語文化意識形態(tài),詩學(xué)和贊助人的影響下,譯者對于小說主題和文化內(nèi)容進(jìn)行了過濾,使譯本引...
