【摘要】：本文屬于一篇英譯中翻譯實踐報告,筆者選取了美國作家羅恩·賀伯特(L.Ron.Hubbard)的作品《風(fēng)高邁傳奇》(Wind-Gone-Mad)作為翻譯項目的原文�！讹L(fēng)高邁傳奇》是一種冒險類小說,也屬于通俗小說的一種。通俗小說重視情節(jié)描寫和人物刻畫,內(nèi)容跌宕起伏,旨在吸引讀者和娛樂大眾。在《風(fēng)高邁傳奇》這部小說中,作者形象生動地刻畫了風(fēng)高邁這個傳奇人物,講述了一個勇敢無畏的飛行員為拯救飽受戰(zhàn)爭磨難的中國而與屠夫作斗爭的故事。情節(jié)緊湊,內(nèi)容離奇,極具娛樂性和消遣性。由于《風(fēng)高邁傳奇》屬于通俗小說,筆者為更好的重現(xiàn)源文本的內(nèi)容和風(fēng)格,以達到娛樂大眾的目的,便選取了美國翻譯理論家尤金·A·奈達(Eugene A.Nida)的功能對等理論作為本次翻譯項目的指導(dǎo)原則,并運用一系列恰當(dāng)?shù)姆g策略和技巧,解決翻譯過程中的問題與難點,例如專有名詞的翻譯、句子的翻譯和修辭手段的翻譯。對待專有名詞的翻譯,首先要查閱資料,結(jié)合上下文,對詞義進行音譯、意譯或引申;對待長短句的翻譯,要弄清句子成分,適當(dāng)進行重組或調(diào)整語序;對待修辭手段的翻譯,要盡量保留原文的整體效果,不改變原文的風(fēng)格與特色。通過本次翻譯實踐活動,筆者在處理翻譯重難點問題時獲得了諸多啟示。在翻譯之前,需充分了解作者的背景知識和寫作風(fēng)格;在翻譯過程中,要注重將翻譯的理論與實際相結(jié)合,合理運用各種翻譯的策略與技巧解決具體問題;在翻譯之后,要多次檢查譯文,以確保譯文質(zhì)量。此外,這次翻譯實踐活動也揭露了筆者自身的眾多不足,如詞匯量匱乏,英文理解出現(xiàn)偏差,中文表達不到位等。
[Abstract]:This paper is a practical report on translation from English to Chinese. The author chooses Wind-Gone-Mad, a novel by American writer L.Ron.Hubbard, as the original text of the translation project. It is a kind of adventure novel and a kind of popular novel. Popular novels pay attention to plot description and character portrayal, the content ups and downs, the purpose is to attract readers and entertain the public. In the novel "Legend of the Wind Gomei", the author vividly depicts the legend of Fenggai, and tells the story of a brave and fearless pilot fighting with a butcher in order to save the war-torn China. The plot is compact, the content is strange, extremely entertaining and recreational. As the Legend of Feng Gao Mai is a popular novel, the author tries to better reproduce the content and style of the source text in order to entertain the public. The functional equivalence theory of American translation theorist Eugene A.Nida is chosen as the guiding principle of this translation project, and a series of appropriate translation strategies and techniques are used to solve the problems and difficulties in the process of translation. Examples include translation of proper nouns, translation of sentences and translation of rhetorical devices. For the translation of proper nouns, we should first consult the data and combine the context with transliteration, free translation or extension of the word meaning, and for the translation of short and short sentences, we should make clear the sentence elements, reorganize or adjust the word order appropriately. In the translation of rhetorical devices, the overall effect of the original text should be preserved as far as possible, and the style and characteristics of the original text should not be changed. Through this translation practice, the author gets a lot of enlightenment when dealing with the important and difficult problems in translation. Before translating, the author's background knowledge and writing style should be fully understood, and in the process of translation, attention should be paid to the combination of translation theory and practice and the rational use of various translation strategies and techniques to solve specific problems. After translation, check the translation many times to ensure the quality of the translation. In addition, the translation practice also reveals many shortcomings of the author, such as lack of vocabulary, deviation in English understanding, lack of Chinese expression and so on.
