從《沉默的羔羊》重譯看出版社對譯本的“不充分操控”

【摘要】:本文從操控理論的視角出發(fā)對《沉默的羔羊》在中國大陸的初譯和重譯本及其再版過程中存在著出版社“不充分操控”的現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行了分析和探討。主要使用比較研究和描述研究的方法,從重譯的出版時間、譯者身份的選擇、重譯本定位方面分析了其中存在的諸多不協(xié)調(diào)現(xiàn)象,以不同時期出現(xiàn)的重譯本作為研究對象,從上述幾點分析中指出出版社在整個重譯計劃中表現(xiàn)在譯本上的初始目的與譯本最終呈現(xiàn)結(jié)果之間不協(xié)調(diào)的事實。本文在緒論首先介紹了作者對《沉默的羔羊》重譯本的研究契機(jī),指出通俗文學(xué)重譯的重要意義,并提出了論文研究的切入視角,即借助比利時裔美籍翻譯理論家安德烈·勒菲弗爾的操控理論來分析出版社在整個重譯本產(chǎn)生過程中所扮演的重要角色。第一章梳理了學(xué)界關(guān)于《沉默的羔羊》譯本與同名電影、重譯現(xiàn)象和操控理論進(jìn)行過的研究,指出其中存在的問題,點明本論文的研究意義。第二章對《沉默的羔羊》在中國大陸的初譯和重譯本中存在的不協(xié)調(diào)現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行說明,主要表現(xiàn)在重譯出版時間與初譯本再版時間相隔較近、初譯和重譯本身份不同的譯者與相同的譯本初始定位、重譯本定位游走于暢銷書和嚴(yán)肅文學(xué)之間等方面。第三章對前一部分提出的各種現(xiàn)象從出版社的角度出發(fā),指出其在重譯本計劃中存在的操控問題,最終導(dǎo)致重譯本及其再版或新版中呈現(xiàn)出譯本內(nèi)容和裝幀形式上的揉雜和不相協(xié)調(diào),從而指出出版社在通俗文學(xué)重譯計劃中存在著“不充分操控”的現(xiàn)象。結(jié)語部分對前文內(nèi)容進(jìn)行了總結(jié),再次說明本文的研究意義之所在,即希望借助《沉默的羔羊》這一通俗小說的重譯現(xiàn)象分析,指出當(dāng)下出版社在通俗小說的重譯計劃中存在著“不充分操控”的現(xiàn)象,借此希冀翻譯界對這一問題予以重視和關(guān)注。
[Abstract]:From the perspective of manipulation theory, this paper analyzes and discusses the phenomenon of "inadequate manipulation" in the process of initial translation, retranslation and reprint of Silent Lamb in mainland China. By using the methods of comparative study and descriptive study, this paper analyzes many incongruous phenomena in the retranslation from the aspects of the publication time of retranslation, the choice of translator's identity and the orientation of the retranslation, and takes the retranslation of different periods as the research object. From the above analysis, the author points out the fact that the original aim of the publisher in the whole retranslation plan is not in harmony with the final result of the translation. In the introduction, this paper first introduces the author's opportunity to study the retranslation of Silent Lamb, points out the significance of retranslation of popular literature, and puts forward the perspective of the research. By means of the manipulation theory of Belgian American translation theorist Andre Lefevere, this paper analyzes the important role played by the publishing house in the process of retranslation. The first chapter combs the academic research on the translation of Silence Lamb and the film of the same name, retranslation phenomenon and manipulation theory, points out the existing problems and points out the significance of this thesis. The second chapter explains the incongruity in the initial translation and retranslation of the Silent Lamb in mainland China, which is mainly reflected in the fact that the time between the retranslation and the reprint is near. Translators with different identities of primary translation and retranslation have the same initial orientation, and re-translation orientation is between bestsellers and serious literature. The third chapter points out the manipulation problems in the retranslation plan from the point of view of the publishing house. As a result, the retranslation and its reprint or the new edition present the confusion and disharmony between the content of the translation and the binding form, thus pointing out that the publishing house has the phenomenon of "insufficient manipulation" in the retranslation plan of popular literature. The conclusion summarizes the previous contents and explains the significance of the study again, that is, the author hopes to analyze the phenomenon of retranslation of the popular novel "the Silence of the Lamb". It is pointed out that the phenomenon of "inadequate manipulation" exists in the retranslation plan of popular novels in the present publishing houses, and it is hoped that the translation community will pay attention to this issue.
