【摘要】：賽珍珠是美國女作家,1932年因撰寫中國題材的小說《大地》取得普利策獎,1938年獲得諾貝爾文學獎。她生在美國,卻長在中國,后來又回美國接受高等教育,所以同時受到東西方文化的熏陶。她也是將《水滸傳》介紹給西方的第一人,為東西方文化交流做出了巨大貢獻,但學術界長期以來對賽珍珠的關注僅僅放在她作為作家和社會活動家的成就上。國內(nèi)外學術界對其評價褒貶不一：一方面,美國有學者認為她在文學造詣上不算是最優(yōu)秀的；另一方面,中國也有學者認為她的譯作是死譯。正是出于對此問題的好奇,筆者希望通過研究,找到一個對賽譯《水滸傳》的較合理的評價。鑒于賽珍珠的特殊身份,文章選取后殖民翻譯理論為研究視角。后殖民翻譯理論倡導翻譯要擺脫傳統(tǒng)的翻譯等值觀的制約,認為翻譯不僅只是語言問題,更是社會、文化和政治問題。翻譯應被看成是一種抵抗殖民統(tǒng)治的工具。后殖民理論家呼吁在全球化背景下的后殖民時代,第三世界國家的人民要抵制西方國家的文化入侵,不能用殖民者國家的語言文化為本土代言,必須堅持邊緣文化的特殊性和保持文化的差異性和多樣性�；裘装桶吞岢龅碾s合理論認為任何一個譯本都不是純粹的采用歸化或譯化的翻譯策略,都呈現(xiàn)出譯本的第三種狀態(tài)。本文聚焦賽珍珠在翻譯《水滸傳》時所采取的翻譯策略。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),譯者在歸化和異化策略間徘徊。本文通過理論闡釋的方法,在原本和譯本對比細讀的基礎上,引用大量例證,說明賽珍珠的雙重文化身份,使她在翻譯過程中陷入兩種狀態(tài)：方面,出于對中國文化的喜愛和忠誠,她試圖最大程度地保留中國文化與西方文化間的差異；另一方面,為了迎合西方讀者,出于交流的需要,在信息傳達的過程中她又采用了西方讀者熟悉的表達法來翻譯原文本。但這種矛盾也恰恰說明,譯者在翻譯過程中試圖達到兩方面均衡的前提下,對她所了解的中國文化進行更多地展示。
[Abstract]:She is American female writer, 1932 China for writing novels < > the earth to win a Pulitzer prize in 1938, won the Nobel prize for literature. She was born in the United States, but in the long Chinese, then back to the United States to receive higher education, so at the same time by west culture. She is also the "Water Margin > introduced to the first person in the west, has made great contribution to the cultural exchanges between the East and the west, but the academic circles for a long time for Buck's attention just on her as a writer and social activist achievements at home and abroad. The academic evaluation of their mixed: on the one hand, the state-owned scholars believe that she is not in the best literary attainments on the other; on the one hand, some scholars believe that China is dead. Her version is out of the issue of curiosity, I hope that through research, to find a match on the water margin > < translation evaluation is reasonable. In view of Saizhen beads Special status, this paper selects the postcolonial translation theory. Postcolonial translation theory advocates translation to get rid of the traditional concept of translation equivalence constraints, that translation is not just a language problem, but also a social, cultural and political issues. The translation should be regarded as a kind of resistance to colonial rule tool. Postcolonial theorists call the colonial era in the context of globalization, the third world people to resist cultural invasion of western countries, can not use the national language and culture for the local settlers endorsement, must adhere to the principle of marginal culture particularity and maintaining cultural diversity and diversity. Homi Bhabha's hybridity theory proposed that any translation not purely by domestication or translation of the translation strategies are versions of the third state. This paper focuses on Buck adopted in the translation of "Water Margin > translation strategy research. The translator found wandering in the domestication and foreignization. Through theoretical explanation, in the original and translated on the basis of comparative reading, cited a number of examples illustrate her dual cultural identity, get her into two states: in the process of translation, because of the China culture of love and loyalty, she tried to maximum to keep the difference between China culture and Western culture; on the other hand, in order to cater to Western readers, for the need of communication, in the process of information transmission in her and the expression of the Western readers familiar with translation to the original text. But the contradiction is precisely that, the translator tries to achieve balance under the premise of two in the process of translation, for she knew China culture show more.
