【摘要】：美國(guó)漢學(xué)家Burton Watson同時(shí)也是一位成就斐然的中國(guó)古典詩(shī)歌譯者,他的譯文語(yǔ)言明白曉暢、詩(shī)歌意境悠遠(yuǎn),在學(xué)界與普通讀者中均有較高的評(píng)價(jià)。本文嘗試考察與Watson翻譯活動(dòng)密切相關(guān)的美國(guó)當(dāng)代詩(shī)歌寫作傳統(tǒng),尤其關(guān)注后者對(duì)前者翻譯行為的具體影響,從一個(gè)新的角度對(duì)Watson譯作的成功做出深入闡述,并由此建議在對(duì)外譯介中國(guó)文學(xué)時(shí),有必要將譯入語(yǔ)國(guó)家詩(shī)學(xué)狀況、文學(xué)傳統(tǒng)等重要因素納入考察范圍。
[Abstract]:Burton Watson, an American sinologist, is also a successful translator of Chinese classical poetry. His translation language is clear and his artistic conception is far away.This paper attempts to examine the American tradition of contemporary poetry writing, which is closely related to the translation activities of Watson, paying particular attention to the specific influence of the latter on the translation behavior of the former, and to make an in-depth exposition of the success of Watson's translation from a new perspective.Therefore, it is necessary to include important factors such as poetics, literary tradition and other important factors in the translation and introduction of Chinese literature.
