【摘要】：杜甫詩歌歷來被認(rèn)為是中國古典文學(xué)最高成就的代表。在當(dāng)前中華文化“走出去”戰(zhàn)略背景下，杜甫詩歌的英譯顯得極其重要。盡管杜甫詩歌相當(dāng)難譯，古今中外仍有不少譯者迎難而上，做出了不懈的努力。其中，翟理斯，王紅公，宇文所安三人的貢獻(xiàn)尤為突出。相比于三人的英譯對杜詩在英語世界的傳播及接受的重大貢獻(xiàn)，國內(nèi)學(xué)者對其進(jìn)行的專門研究略顯單薄。 本文首次嘗試對三人分別收錄在《古文選珍·詩歌卷》（1923）、《中國詩百首》（1956）和《中國文學(xué)選集：從先秦到1911》（1996）中的英譯杜詩進(jìn)行細(xì)致的對比分析，總結(jié)出各自英譯杜詩的翻譯特點(diǎn)。分析發(fā)現(xiàn)：三者的不同主要體現(xiàn)在詩歌題材或主題的選擇和翻譯過程中對詩意、詩體與詩韻以及文化意象的處理等方面。總體來看，翟理斯的譯文投射出一個(gè)生活化田園化的閑適杜甫，王紅公呈現(xiàn)了一個(gè)在孤獨(dú)靜謐中冥想的隱士，宇文所安則通過譯文描繪了一個(gè)憂國憂民卻又常自嘆懷才不遇的儒士形象。不難發(fā)現(xiàn)，三位譯者的譯文都是對原文不同程度的改寫，呈現(xiàn)給英語讀者三種偏離中國傳統(tǒng)認(rèn)識的杜甫形象。 文化學(xué)派翻譯研究家勒菲弗爾主張將翻譯活動(dòng)置于廣闊的社會文化背景下加以觀察研究，提出翻譯是一種改寫形式，是最有影響力的潛在力量，能夠?qū)⒛骋蛔髡呋蜃髌返男蜗笸渡涞叫碌奈幕瘓鼍�。同時(shí)，勒菲弗爾認(rèn)為通過翻譯投射的文學(xué)作品的形象受到譯者所處的社會文化等多方面因素的操控。 受其啟發(fā)，本文擬對三位譯者所處時(shí)代的社會文化背景信息加以梳理并借用勒菲弗爾的改寫理論的分析框架，從意識形態(tài)，詩學(xué)等角度分析譯文之所以如此的成因。研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，制約譯文生成的主要因素為特定社會歷史背景下的意識形態(tài)和主流詩學(xué)。具體而言，意識形態(tài)和詩學(xué)中的功能要素主要影響譯者對詩歌主題的選擇和詩意的翻譯，詩學(xué)的文學(xué)要素則決定譯文文學(xué)形式的具體呈現(xiàn)。另外，，譯者的文化身份、文學(xué)造詣以及審美偏好對其自身的翻譯活動(dòng)也有一定影響。
