【摘要】：20世紀(jì)80年代中期中國當(dāng)代文學(xué)界掀起了一股“走向世界”的熱潮，中國當(dāng)代文學(xué)作品被大量地譯介到國外。在這些作品被譯介到國外的作家中，蘇童是受到關(guān)注較多的其中一位。他的小說《我的帝王生涯》經(jīng)由素有“中國當(dāng)代文學(xué)首席翻譯家”之稱的翻譯家葛浩文（Howard Goldblatt）翻譯，于2005年在美國出版，推出后大受讀者追捧，引起了《紐約客》等美國重要媒體的關(guān)注，并刊登了大篇幅的評論。 本文在揭露翻譯規(guī)范與譯者主體性對翻譯的綜合影響的基礎(chǔ)上，詳細(xì)分析《我的帝王生涯》的英譯特點(diǎn)，探討作者采用的翻譯策略與翻譯規(guī)范的關(guān)系，并結(jié)合小說的英譯本在英語世界的接受和讀者的評價，探索譯者在翻譯規(guī)范的影響下所采取的策略及其取得的效果。翻譯作為跨文化的交際，是一種社會化的行為，因此受到許多社會文化因素的驅(qū)動與制約。作為翻譯的驅(qū)動與制約因素，翻譯規(guī)范的內(nèi)容涵蓋廣泛，再加上其描述性的性質(zhì)，是十分客觀和全面的研究翻譯的方法。除了翻譯規(guī)范，譯者的主體性也是一個不可忽視的內(nèi)容。翻譯的成品是譯者在受到翻譯規(guī)范制約下，主觀能動地在不同策略之間做出選擇的結(jié)果。將規(guī)范和譯者主體性放入個案討論，可以更好地理解復(fù)雜的翻譯機(jī)制和過程。而結(jié)合譯本的接受情況也能更加客觀與實(shí)際地對評估其翻譯的效果。通過讀者對于小說的反饋，，既看到小說翻譯的成功之處，同時也發(fā)現(xiàn)其翻譯存在的一些問題。 從《我的帝王生涯》的文本選擇至英譯及最后的接受過程中，可以看到規(guī)范的影響無處不在，而譯者能否把握好這些翻譯規(guī)范采取相應(yīng)的翻譯策略是譯本能否得到成功接受的關(guān)鍵。本文希望通過較為全面和客觀地分析對《我的帝王生涯》英譯本，對中國文學(xué)“走出去”所應(yīng)采取的翻譯策略提供一定啟示。
