【摘要】：文學巨著《紅樓夢》具有極高的欣賞價值和研究價值。其塑造的人物千姿百態(tài),風情萬種,特別是哭態(tài)更引人注目。而眾多人物的“哭”中,林黛玉哭的最多,也是最具代表性的一位,典型的水做的人兒,眼淚就是林黛玉的標志之一,因此林黛玉又有一個凄美的別稱“淚美人”。本文旨在以格式塔意象為視角,對《紅樓夢》英譯中林黛玉哭態(tài)的意象再現(xiàn)進行全面、系統(tǒng)的研究。林黛玉哭態(tài)意象的成功再現(xiàn),在整個《紅樓夢》英譯中占據(jù)了重要地位。 斯內(nèi)爾-霍恩比提出將翻譯研究作為一門獨立學科的見解,并運用格式塔整體理論等倡導翻譯研究的綜合方法。這為我國的翻譯研究提供了可資借鑒的理論依據(jù)。基于格式塔意象再造基礎上的文學翻譯模式為：第一步,理解原文——格式塔意象的心理再現(xiàn)；第二步,再造譯文——格式塔意象的語言再現(xiàn)。本文將從格式塔心理再現(xiàn)和語言再現(xiàn)兩個方面出發(fā),著重分析研究林黛玉哭態(tài)的意象再現(xiàn)。而在翻譯過程中,譯者的主體性作用大為突出,翻譯的重點即在于格式塔心理意象的生成與轉(zhuǎn)換,譯者的積極操作,有利于譯文的成功再現(xiàn)。 本文首先回顧了格式塔意象的發(fā)展歷程及其應用,簡要分析了國內(nèi)對林黛玉哭態(tài)及其英譯的研究情況。其次詳細介紹了文學翻譯中格式塔意象再現(xiàn)理論。接著對林黛玉哭態(tài)意象的構(gòu)建及形成原因進行了系統(tǒng)的分析研究。并從格式塔心理再現(xiàn)和語言再現(xiàn)兩個方面著重研究林黛玉哭態(tài)意象在《紅樓夢》英譯中的再現(xiàn),其中需要注意的是實現(xiàn)譯文的“和諧”。最后從文學翻譯出發(fā),指出意象再現(xiàn)過程中的主、客觀限制性條件,在此基礎上分析譯者的積極操作以及林黛玉哭態(tài)的意象再現(xiàn)過程中所采用的翻譯策略。 由此可見,格式塔意象視角的應用對《紅樓夢》英譯中林黛玉哭態(tài)意象的成功再現(xiàn)具有重要的指導意義和應用價值,讓讀者能夠更好的理解和欣賞林黛玉的淚美人形象,為中西文化交流做出貢獻。
