【摘要】：近年來(lái)對(duì)于《水滸傳》的研究在世界范圍內(nèi)都取得了顯著成效，然而對(duì)于《水滸傳》英譯的研究卻相對(duì)較為滯后。雖然譯介對(duì)與《水滸傳》的英譯研究正在進(jìn)行不斷的嘗試，然而很難得到突破性的進(jìn)展。對(duì)于《水滸傳》英譯的研究缺乏系統(tǒng)性，大多停留在對(duì)字詞的研究上。研究的重點(diǎn)多注重的是誤譯，欠譯等相對(duì)淺顯的問(wèn)題，而對(duì)于造成這些問(wèn)題的深層次的原因卻鮮有觸及。因此研究的深度和廣度都有一定的局限性。作為四大名著之一，《水滸傳》在全世界文化交流中的作用是顯而易見(jiàn)的，對(duì)于《水滸傳》英譯的研究工作也同樣承載著傳播中國(guó)文化的重要使命。因此，本文將是一次對(duì)《水滸傳》英譯的一次較為系統(tǒng)而深入的研究的大膽嘗試。 由于《水滸傳》原本和譯本的多樣性和譯文的復(fù)雜性，對(duì)于《水滸傳》英譯的研究可謂是一項(xiàng)復(fù)雜而艱巨的工程。目前《水滸傳》已經(jīng)被譯成多種語(yǔ)言的節(jié)譯本和全譯本。而英語(yǔ)的全譯本已經(jīng)有四部問(wèn)世，分別是賽珍珠的All Men Are Brothers，杰克遜的Water Margin,沙博理的Outlaws of the Marsh和登特楊父子的The Marshes of theMount Liang。由于研究條件的限制，本文將選擇具有權(quán)威性的前三個(gè)英譯本進(jìn)行較為系統(tǒng)和深入的研究。本文著重選取了《水滸傳》有關(guān)文化特色的字詞和片段，探討《水滸傳》英譯過(guò)程中譯者對(duì)于文化沖突現(xiàn)象的處理。本文將通過(guò)運(yùn)用查爾斯.費(fèi)爾默的框架理論對(duì)書中一些具有文化特色的字、詞和片段進(jìn)行框架成分的分析。通過(guò)研究分析賽珍珠，沙博理和杰克遜三位譯者對(duì)于這些文化沖突現(xiàn)象的框架詮釋，，發(fā)現(xiàn)譯者在框架處理的過(guò)程中采用了不同的調(diào)整策略，而這些策略的背后都受到譯者個(gè)人生活背景的影響。在不同的翻譯策略的掩蓋下凸顯的是譯者對(duì)于原文語(yǔ)義框架不同程度的偏離。由于三位譯者都來(lái)自英美國(guó)家，他們?cè)谖幕涣鞯倪^(guò)程中帶有明顯的文化種族主義傾向。對(duì)于原語(yǔ)的文化特色現(xiàn)象的詮釋都產(chǎn)生了不同程度的偏離和扭曲，翻譯帶有明顯的個(gè)人理想和譯者所處社會(huì)的時(shí)代特色。
