期刊雜志為二十世紀(jì)初翻譯文學(xué)的傳播做出了巨大的貢獻(xiàn)。其中《東方雜志》作為中國(guó)近現(xiàn)代期刊史上首屈一指的綜合性期刊，為翻譯文學(xué)的發(fā)表，提供了良好的平臺(tái)。然而遺憾的是，迄今為止對(duì)該雜志在文學(xué)翻譯方面的貢獻(xiàn)一直缺乏深入研究。安德魯·勒菲弗爾(André Lefevere)提出的翻譯理論認(rèn)為，翻譯并不是在真空中進(jìn)行的，其會(huì)受到接受環(huán)境諸多社會(huì)因素的制約和操控，源文信息會(huì)根據(jù)目的語(yǔ)社會(huì)的需要而被篩選過(guò)濾。翻譯研究不應(yīng)拘囿于語(yǔ)言層面的轉(zhuǎn)換，它涉及從選材到接受以及產(chǎn)生的影響整個(gè)過(guò)程。本論文限于篇幅，主要對(duì)處于歷史轉(zhuǎn)折時(shí)期的《東方雜志》翻譯選材進(jìn)行深入分析，探討其嬗變的根本原因。 本文經(jīng)過(guò)對(duì)《東方雜志》翻譯小說(shuō)選材的國(guó)別，作者和選題等數(shù)據(jù)的分析，發(fā)現(xiàn)其選材在兩個(gè)不同時(shí)期呈現(xiàn)明顯的差別，繼而論證了勒菲弗爾譯論的普適性，翻譯選材受社會(huì)意識(shí)形態(tài)的操控。第一時(shí)期（1904-1919）處于清末民初的社會(huì)變革社會(huì)需求，文學(xué)作品多選自于西方強(qiáng)國(guó)，且選材呈現(xiàn)啟蒙特點(diǎn)。第二時(shí)期（1920-1927）隨著俄國(guó)十月革命的勝利和五四運(yùn)動(dòng)的爆發(fā)，革新后的《東方雜志》不僅翻譯小說(shuō)數(shù)量激增，而且更加注重譯介人道主義文學(xué)與揭露社會(huì)現(xiàn)實(shí)...
